The box office opened yesterday for the Broadway revival of GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Tuesday, September 18th at 10am. GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS will begin its limited run with previews on Tuesday, October 16th and an official opening on Sunday, November 11. Earlier this month it was announced that WEST WING star and Emmy Award winner Richard Schiff will return to Broadway in the upcoming revival of David Mamet's acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning drama GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS. Schiff will star alongside Al Pacino, Bobby Cannavale, David Harbour, and Jeremy Shamos in the show.
Schiff was one of many Broadway veterans to star in the long-running NBC drama, and though the show aired its final episode in 2006, last week's poll asked what other stars you'd like to see return to the stage. Your response was Allison Janney, with a whopping (54%) of the vote.

It's just been announced that this fall, two-time Tony Award winner AL PACINO will be joined on stage by Tony nominee DAVID HARBOUR, Emmy Award winner RICHARD SCHIFF and Tony nominee JEREMY SHAMOS in the Broadway revival of DAVID MAMET'S acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning drama GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS. As previously announced, Tony Award nominee BOBBY CANNAVALE has been cast in the role of Richard "Ricky" Roma.

Shakespeare Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Kahn announced a revision to the 2012-2013 Season, which will now include Eugene O'Neill's Hughie. This play will replace the previously announced production of George Bernard Shaw's Man and Superman. Tony Award winnerDoug Hughes (STC's The Little Foxes, Broadway's Doubt) will direct Hughie at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW) from January 31 - March 17, 2013.

The Cinetopia International Film Festival presented by AT&T, previously announced the foreign feature films selected for this year's inaugural festival, taking place today May 31 through June 3 at three Ann Arbor landmark locations: the Michigan Theater, the State Theater, and Angell Hall at the University of Michigan. Of the more than 30 films that will screen over the four days of the event, the eight foreign features include a British inter-faith comedy, European crime thrillers and domestic dramas, colorful musicals from Australia and Russia, and a Cuban zombie movie.
STC Hosts 10th Anniversary of Will on the Hill Tonight, 5/7

This month marks the Shakespeare Theatre Company's 10th year of celebrating the enduring power of Shakespeare's words with the aid of Washington's politicians, lobbyists and journalists. This year's Will on the Hill is marked by a performance of Speak the Speech, I Pray You!, an original play by Peter Byrne with assistance from The West Wing Writers Group. Will on the Hill takes place tonight, May 7, 2012, in Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW). The evening begins with a VIP cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m. and a buffet dinner at 8:30 p.m.
