The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University announced today that single tickets for the first production of the 2013/14 Season are now on sale to the general public. The A.R.T. will open its season with Robert Schenkkan's new play All The Way, directed by Bill Rauch, with three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Bryan Cranston playing the lead role of Lyndon Baines Johnson. The production begins performances on September 13.

Sarasota Opera's Executive Director Richard Russell has announced that the company has appointed Stacy Ridenour as its new Director of Development in an executive search process guided by Arts Consulting Group. As Director of Development, Ms. Ridenour will supervise a department working toward an annual fundraising goal of $2.75 million and creating a funding strategy to support the company's future plans. She will officially assume her new role on July 1, 2013.

At 6:30am on Tuesday, March 5th, Sarasota Opera House will open as a "Donor Giving Station" to those wishing to give to the 2013 36 Hour Giving Challenge. Sarasota Opera will have three computer stations set up in the Opera House for those wanting to give during the Giving Challenge. Sarasota Opera staff will be on hand throughout the day to assist in any way necessary.

The Board of Trustees of Sarasota Opera has announced the appointment of Richard Russell as the new Executive Director of Sarasota Opera effective November 1, 2012. Mr. Russell, who was Sarasota Opera's Director of Marketing from 2005 - 2010, returns to Sarasota having served the past three seasons as General Director of Opera New Jersey in Princeton, NJ.
The Guthrie Theater today announced the full casts, comprising 39 actors, for the three plays of the Christopher Hampton Celebration. This week, Lincoln Center celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the landmark Soul at the Center, highlighted by Valerie Simpson's first tribute to her late partner, Nick Ashford, since his passing. The pair that wrote such Motown hits as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)," and "I'm Every Woman," made their performing debut as a duo at Lincoln Center 40 years ago. The Tribute takes place on Friday, August 10 at Damrosch Park.
