Tarragon Theatre presents the English-language premiere of Flesh and Other Fragments of Love by the Governor General Award-winning playwright Evelyne de la Cheneliere whose Bashir Lazhar Tarragon produced in 2008. Directed by the theatre's Artistic Director Richard Rose, Tarragon continues its tradition of presenting English premieres of Quebec plays with a translation by Linda Gaboriau. Both a little bit ominous and a little bit magical, this imaginative and surprising take on married life, love and identity opens January 15 and runs to February 16 (with previews from January 7) in Tarragon's Mainspace. For the second year in a row year, two leaves tea company is delighted to announce that it has been recognized with an award at the North American Tea Championship. Last year, the company's Jasmine Petal green tea won a first place award in the 2012 Packaged Single-Service Class competition. The Reduced Shakespeare Company (RSC) is pulling out all of the comedy weapons in its oversized arsenal to set off a laugh riot at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. The RSC, which has been rapidly reducing expectations since 1981, is premiering its ninth stage show, THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF COMEDY (abridged), from Nov. 9 to Dec. 29 in the Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre.

Barter Theatre has released the results of a major study measuring the theatre's impact on the local economy. The independent study determined that Barter Theatre is responsible for generating $34 million in economic impact and supporting 485 jobs across the economic spectrum. Barter is a non-profit organization with an annual operating budget of just over $6 million, located in historic downtown Abingdon, Virginia.
