Producers of the Tony Award winning musical Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, Robyn Goodman, Jill Furman and Stephen Kocis, announce that actress, talk show host and recording artist Keke Palmer will make her Broadway debut by stepping into the title role on September 9, 2014, thus making history as the first African-American Cinderella on Broadway. Actors Equity honored CINDERELLA with their award "Extraordinary Excellence in Diversity on Broadway" in 2013.

Some Enchanted Evening, directed and choreographed by Maurice Sims, and opened last night at the Crown Uptown Professional Dinner Theatre. Some Enchanted Evening, based on a concept by Jeffrey B. Moss, is a revue of the songs by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Included are such tunes as "If I Loved You," "Lonely Room," "Shall We Dance," "People Will Say We're In Love," and "Out of My Dreams."

Dorset Theatre Festival will present the song cycle from Dillingham City by the exciting writing team of Lucy Thurber and Matt Gould, as part of their New Play Reading Series on August 9th at 3 pm. The presentation, which will include songs from the show in development as well as a talk with the writers about their process, will be directed by Kent Nicolson, the acclaimed Director of Musical Theater and Literary Associate for Playwrights Horizons in New York City. A talk-back with the writers, cast and director will occur directly after the presentation.

The Tony Award winning 1949 musical South Pacific comes to the Off Center Theatre in Kansas City, Mo. from August 7 through August 24. This enduring love story is set on a tropical island during World War II. Richard Rodgers wrote the music with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and the book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan. Sarah Crawford directs the Musical Theatre Heritage production and provides musical direction with Jeremy Watson.
