Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) presented Twin Spirits, a special New York performance celebrating the 200th birthday of composer Robert Schumann, last night, June 30. Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that Hugh Jackman has his sights set on the stage again, having just participated in a reading of Nora Ephron's new play, Stories about McAlary. Directed by Mike Nichols, the play cernters on the life of the late New York Post and Daily News columnist Mike McAlary (read by Jackman). The reading also included Sarah Paulson and Richard Kind.

With just 10 days left to catch the engrossing performance that Newsday gives 4 stars, DISSONANCE is not to be missed. Written by BBC writer Damian Lanigan, Newsday says, 'Lanigan's intelligent, music-lovers drama deserves a shot at a longer New York/London run.'

Bay Street's Summer Gala, recognized as 'Best of the Best - Event of the Year' (Dan's Papers, 2007, 2008 and 2009), has several new twists this year that are sure to keep guests entertained all night long! Mario Cantone (Sex & The City) will bring his comedic talent as Host to this star-studded event which will include cocktails, dining, dancing, and auction all set against the background of the stunning bay and moonlit sky. Guests can enjoy either a sit-down dinner or a special new feature this year; a lounge seating area in which revelers will receive passed tapas throughout the evening. Both the dinner and tapas will be catered by Sterling Affair Caterers. Music and entertainment will be provided by celebrity DJ Tom Finn, named 'The King of Spin' by Avenue Magazine. Finn has kept the dance floor bustling at fabulous parties including the MTV Music Awards, Oprah's 50th Birthday Party, and even The White House Millennium Bash! Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org), a public service organization for artists, joined forces with Yale University to present an evening of song performed by distinguished Yale alumni. The second annual Songs for Our Future concert took place in honor of Yale's 'Day of Service' as a benefit for Sing for Hope's Art U! program, which brings dynamic arts and leadership education to underserved New York City youth.
