New Amsterdam Singers to Present LIFE IS BUT A DREAM

New Amsterdam Singers (NAS), led by Music Director Clara Longstreth, will present its final concert of the season titled "Life Is But a Dream," featuring premieres of works by American composers Robert Paterson, Ronald Perera, and Ben Moore inspired by poetry and folk melodies, and a World-Premiere Commission based on Shakespeare texts by Matthew Harris in honor of the chorus's upcoming 50th anniversary. The concert will take place Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 8:00 p.m., at Saint Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, 554 West End Avenue (at 87th Street).

The New Amsterdam Singers, (NAS), led by Music Director Clara Longstreth, will present Northern Lights: Four Centuries of Spirited Music from Northern Europe, Friday, March 17, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 19, 2017, at 4:00 p.m., at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 316 East 88th Street (between First and Second Avenues).

New Amsterdam Singers Presents O MAGNUM MYSTERIUM: RENAISSANCE AND CONTEMPORARY MEDITATIONS OF THE SEASON, Today

The New Amsterdam Singers, led by music director Clara Longstreth, will present O Magnum Mysterium: Renaissance and Contemporary Meditations on the Season, a program of mostly a cappella sacred choral music, including works by Tomas Luis de Victoria, Jacob Handl, William Byrd, J.S. Bach, and contemporary composers Abbie Betinis, Stephen Paulus, Eric Whitacre, and Morten Lauridsen.

Princeton Symphony Orchestra to Present VOICES OF LIGHT at Princeton University Chapel, 6/9

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is pleased to be partnering with the Princeton Festival and the Princeton Garden Theatre to present Voices of Light, an oratorio by Richard Einhorn with the 1928 silent film classic The Passion of Joan of Arc, on Thursday, June 9 at 8:30 pm at the Princeton University Chapel. It is a first collaboration of the orchestra with the Festival, made possible through the generous support of long-term PSO patrons Enea and Dave Tierno.

New Amsterdam Singers to Perform Six New York Premieres in May

The New Amsterdam Singers (NAS), led by Music Director Clara Longstreth, will present its final program of the season, titled The Good Earth: New Music for the Land and Its Fragile Glory, with concerts Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 316 East 88th Street, and Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 8:00 P.M. at Saint Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, 554 West End Avenue (at 87th Street.)

Parthenia Performs at The Church of Saint Luke in the Fields Tonight

Parthenia, New York's premiere viol consort, will present A Habsburg Songbook, a concert tonight, October 17 at 8:00 PM at The Church of Saint Luke in the Fields, 487 Hudson Street in Manhattan. This is the first event of their 2015-16 concert series, and is part of the New York Early Music Celebration 2015: El Nuevo Mundo, a Service Project of the Early Music Foundation.
