Full Casting Announced For Stephens' PUNK ROCK At The Lyric Hammersmith

Olivier award-winning playwright Simon Stephens' powerful new play Punk Rock opens at the Lyric Hammersmith on 08 September 2009 with previews from 03 September 2009. Sarah Frankcom, the Co-Artistic Director of the Royal Exchange, Manchester will direct a talented, young cast which includes Nicholas Banks, Henry Lloyd Hughes, Harry McEntire, Jessica Raine, Tom Sturridge, Katie West and Sophie Wu.

Acting Company Announced for Tricyle Theatre's THE GREAT GAME: AFGHANISTAN

Tricycle Theater Presents THE GREAT GAME: AFGHANISTAN

The Tricycle Theatre will present The Great Game: Afghanistan from 17 April - 14 June 2009, a festival exploring Afghan culture and history through fifteen plays, a ten day film programme, Qawali Sham Sufi Group concert, ceramic and photographic exhibitions, discussion sessions, writers' talks and play readings (in conjunction with the National Theatre Studio). Previews for The Great Game: Afghanistan begin on 17 April with a press day on 24 April. In addition, the Tricycle's Education Department will produce a series of projects to support the Festival.

Staunton and Horne Lead UK Revival of ENTERTAINING MR. SLOANE, Bagnall Directs

Imelda Staunton and Mathew Horne are cast in a major revival of Joe Orton's comic masterpiece, Entertaining Mr Sloane. Directed by Nick Bagnall, this dark study of sexual manners will run at the Trafalgar Studios 1 from 22 January to 11 April 2009 with press night on Friday 30 January, in a co-production with Michael Edwards & Carole Winter and English Touring Theatre.

Cast Announced for Almeida's 'Chain Play II'

Directed by Indhu Rubasingham and performed by Holly Aird, Cavan Clerkin, Brendan Coyle, Amanda Drew, John Marquez and Javone Prince, Chain Play II will be performed for one night only on 29 February 2008 at 7.30pm.

After the huge success of the Almeida's fundraising event in March this year, the theatre has invited writers Stephen Adly Guirgis, Richard Bean, Neil LaBute, Abi Morgan, Mike Poulton and Tanya Ronder to write Chain Play II. Performed for one night only on 29 February 2008 at 7:30PM
