Broadway veteran Louise Pitre will lead GYPSY when it plays Chicago Shakespeare Theatre next year. Directed by Gary Griffin, the production will run at Chicago Shakespeare's Courtyard Theater, February 6- March 23. Three plays will be presented as staged readings in the Auditorium Theatre at 10 a.m.on selected dates. Chosen from hundreds of plays submitted, this year's lineup includes SHUNNED by Larry Parr, TWENTY-SEVEN by Ed Morgan, and ADAM AND YOSHI by Tom Cavanaugh.

Bardway Baby! is back at the Utah Shakespeare Festival for its fourth annual night of musical entertainment. Bardway, Baby! is a late-night concert event featuring classic Broadway show tunes. Performed by Festival actors, the concert will be held tonight, August 2 at approximately 11:00 p.m. in the Auditorium Theatre. Tickets are $25 for reserved seating and are available now at the Festival ticket office or by calling 1-800-PLAYTIX.

Casting for the 2013 season at the Utah Shakespeare Festival is nearly complete. The casting process is an exciting, but complicated endeavor because roughly 60 performers will be hired in order to fill hundreds of roles in eight plays and the nightly Greenshow. After months of auditions and contract negotiations, Artistic Directors David Ivers and Brian Vaughn are confident that these actors represent some of the strongest talent in the industry.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater's extension of its celebrated 25th Anniversary Season opening production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies, directed by CST Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin will close today, November 13, 2011, in CST's Courtyard Theater. The production features a company of more than 40 actors and musicians that includes Olivier Award nominees Brent Barrett as Benjamin Stone and Caroline O'Connor as Phyllis Rogers Stone, with Robert Petkoff as Buddy Plummer, Susan Moniz as Sally Durant Plummer and Chicago musical theater favorite Hollis Resnik as Carlotta Campion.
