The Dramatists Guild Fund will host Annual Presentation of New Work by DG Fellows at Playwrights Horizons in New York on September 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM.

Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company has announced casting for the upcoming production of ONE FLEA SPARE, set to play Off-Broadway at the Sheen Center this fall.

Molly Beach Murphy, whose plays have been developed at New York Theatre Workshop, Williamstown Theatre Festival and Ars Nova and Loren Beri's new musical will be read and performed as a part of the NYMF Developmental Reading Series on July 12th, 16th, and 17th at Playwrights Horizons South Studio (416 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues), directed by Gabriel Vega Weissman and featuring Grace McLean (Natasha and Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, Brooklynite) in the title role of "Neil deGrasse Tyson".

Casting has been announced for the new musicals in development at Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Music Theater Conference later this month. Among the actors premiering new work are Adam Chanler-Berat, Erin Davie, Colin Hanlon, Kevin Mambo, Matt Von Roderick, Christina Sajous, and Remy Zaken.

Kevin Ray Johnson (Playwright of The Unpredictable Times) will be bringing three of his short plays in staged readings Off-Broadway to the Davenport Theatre, June 5th at 5:30 pm and 6:45 pm.

Quick, get out of the water! A one-night-only concert reading of the new rock musical parody SHARK ATTACK! is set for Monday, March 28th, 2016 at 6:30pm at Off-Broadway's Elektra Theatre.

Heartbroken by recent events, YouthUprisingNYC, has decided to host an evening of loves songs for our Parisian brothers and sisters.

OkayBetterBest, a new musical written by Rhonda Kess and Michael Weems and directed by Hunter Foster, will be presented the Ars Nova Loft (511 West 54th Street) as a special industry reading on Thursday, December 3 at 3:00 PM and Friday, December 4 at 3:00 PM. The cast includes Jason Gotay (Bring It On: The Musical, Spider-Man Turn off the Dark), George Salazar (Godspell, Here Lies Love), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Elena Ricardo (Mamma Mia!), Christina Sajous (Holler If Ya Hear Me, American Idiot), Justin Matthew Sargent (Bonnie & Clyde, Rock of Ages) and Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening). Dramatists Guild Fund President Andrew Lippa and Executive Director Rachel Routh announce that actor, musician and Emmy-nominated composer, Darren Criss will host and perform at the annual gala Great Writers Thank Their Lucky Stars on October 26. Joining the previously announced line up are Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth honoring Stephen Schwartz and Mo Rocca honoring Laurence O'Keefe & Nell Benjamin.

Dramatists Guild Fund President Andrew Lippa and Executive Director Rachel Routh announce the lineup for the nonprofit's Gala, Great Writers Thank Their Lucky Stars being held on October 26 at Gotham Hall. The Gala is the most critical fundraising event for the Dramatists Guild Fund, the public charity arm of the Dramatists Guild of America. This very special evening pays tribute to legendary writers and recognizes their significant contributions to American theater.

Pittsburgh Public Theater's season begins with the timeless drama The Diary of Anne Frank, by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. Samuel French has announced the winners of the 2015 Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, the nation's leading short play competition. The six winning plays were presented in a Showcase on Sunday, August 9th at the conclusion of the week-long festival at the East 13th Street Theater (Classic Stage Company). These plays will be published, and available for licensing by Samuel French in the 40th Annual edition of its Off Off Broadway Plays collection:

On August 30th, cast members from the original Broadway and touring productions of Spring Awakening will come together on the stage of 54 Below in 'Spring & Summer.'

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presented Women of Note, a one-night-only concert event celebrating the women writers who are changing the landscape of musical theatre.
