Stacey Luftig and Phillip Palmer, winners of the 2015 Fred Ebb Award, will present an invitation only showcase of their acclaimed work MY HEART IS THE DRUM on Monday, June 6th at 5 PM at the York Theatre (619 Lexington Avenue at East 54th Street, New York City)  

This Thursday night, June 2nd, BROADWAY SESSIONS welcomes cast members from the Tony nominated Best Musical Revival, The Color Purple. Color Purple cast members scheduled to perform include Antoine L. Smith, Rema Webb, Akron Watson, Carla R. Stewart, Phoenix Best, Adrianna Hicks, J. Daughtry, Bre Jackson, D'Wayne Clark and more.

Eighteen-year Broadway veteran Rema Webb, currently on the Great White Way in THE COLOR PURPLE, will bring her critically acclaimed one-woman show CHILDREN WILL LISTEN to 42West for a one-night only engagement. 

The women took the center stage last night at The Ladies Who Sing Sondheim- a gala benefit for Off-Broadway's esteemed Classic Stage Company. The evening was and directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, who will become the company's new Artistic Director in July.  The evening included performances from Sondheim's canon by Patti LuPone (Gypsy), Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza), Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple), Joaquina Kalukango (The Color Purple), Judy Kuhn (Fun Home, CSC's Passion), Marin Mazzie (Kiss Me, Kate) and Alexandra Silber(Fiddler on the Roof). Chambers and Jacob Langfelder, Children Will Listen will be performed on Monday, April 25th at 7:30PM.

THE COLOR PURPLE recorded its official Broadway cast album in December, and it is available online and in stores today, February 19, released by Broadway Records. The album is produced by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti. 

Over the summer, Jonathan Groff led the Encores! Off-Center production of William Finn and James Lapine's A NEW BRAIN, and fans who didn't make it to the show need not worry any longer. THE COLOR PURPLE, which opened last night to ecstatic reviews, will record its official cast album this Monday, December 14, 2015.  The new Broadway cast recording will be released by Broadway Records on January 29, 2016and can pre-ordered at Amazon.com and at www.BroadwayRecords.com.  The album is being produced by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.
