Denis Arndt and Mary-Louise Parker Star in MTC's HEISENBERG, Beginning Tonight

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of HEISENBERG, the new play by two-time Olivier Award winner Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Punk Rock), directed by Drama Desk Award winner Mark Brokaw (The Lyons, How I Learned to Drive), starring Denis Arndt (The Night Alive at Geffen Playhouse, 'The Practice') and Tony & Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker (Proof, 'Weeds'), will play a strictly limited 6-week engagement beginning tonight, May 19, and opening Wednesday, June 3 as part of MTC's 2014-2015 season of The Studio at Stage II -- Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Heisenberg, the new play by two-time Olivier Award winner Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Punk Rock), directed by Drama Desk Award winner Mark Brokaw (The Lyons, How I Learned to Drive) starring Denis Arndt (The Night Alive at Geffen Playhouse, "The Practice") and Tony and Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker (Proof, "Weeds") begins rehearsals Thursday.

People's Light Audiences Contribute Over $32,000 to Local & National Charities

People's Light is proud to announce that it galvanized audiences to contribute $32,629.56 this holiday season to local and national charities. The funds were collected from audience members during performances of Arthur and the Tale of the Red Dragon: A Musical Panto and divided equally among three organizations. The organizations include: the Charles A. Melton Center ($10,876.52), Horizon House ($10,876.52), and Doctors Without Borders ($10,876.52). Since the program began in 2005, People's Light has brought in over $200,000 with this year's total being the most raised in a single year.

STAGE TUBE: On This Day 12/22 - Ralph Fiennes

Happy Birthday, Ralph Fiennes! Fiennes' 2006 performance in the play Faith Healer gained him a nomination for a 2007 Tony Award. In 2008, Fiennes worked with frequent collaborator director Jonathan Kent to play the title role in Sophocles's Oedipus the King at The National Theatre in London. He has appeared in films such as The English Patient, In Bruges, The Constant Gardener, Strange Days and Maid in Manhattan. He is also well known for his portrayals of three infamous villains: Nazi war criminal Amon Goth in Schindler's List, serial killer Francis Dolarhyde in the 2002 film Red Dragon, and Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series. Most recently, he appeared in The Reader (2008), The Hurt Locker (2009) and as Hades in Clash of the Titans (2010).

People's Light Offers to OFfer First Sensory-Friendly Performance of Annual Holiday Panto

People's Light will offer its first sensory-friendly performance of Arthur and the Tale of the Red Dragon: A Musical Panto on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015 at 7 pm on the Leonard C. Haas Stage. Sensory-friendly performances are designed to create a theatre experience that is welcoming to all families with members (children or adults) on the autism spectrum or with other sensory sensitivities.

Rockmond Dunbar Returns as Dennis Abbott for the Final Season of THE MENTALIST on CBS

Rockmond Dunbar is a well-respected talent known as an actor's actor. He challenges himself and his cast-mates to deliver their best performances whether he's playing the head of a middle-class Chicago family or a misunderstood criminal inmate. Dunbar was introduced as FBI special agent 'Dennis Abbott' as a recurring character on CBS' The Mentalist almost a year-ago to date on the seventh episode of the sixth season entitled, 'The Great Red Dragon.' Dunbar's Abbott has since become a regular character on the series and will be returning to The Mentalist for its final season on CBS premiering, Sunday, November 30, 2014.

Anthony Hopkins to Star in New Thriller, GO WITH ME

Deadline reports that Academy Award-winner Anthony Hopkins is joining Kidnapping Freddy Heineken's Daniel Alfredson on new thriller, GO WITH ME. Presented by Enderby Entertainment and The Gotham Group, GO WITH ME is based on Castle Freeman Jr.'s 2008 novel of the same title.
