On Monday, August 30th, New York Theatre Barn will present its monthly showcase for emerging writers and performers at the D-Lounge at the Daryl Roth Theater, which will feature the songs of Jake Brandman as well as a presentation of the new musical Substitute Dreams. Executive Producers for NYTB in the D-Lounge are Laura Brandel and Karen Marshall.

On Monday, January 26th, New York Theatre Barn will present the first NYTB @ The Duplex of 2009. The monthly cabaret series highlights new composers, lyricists, and performers. The evening will feature The Rebekah Melocik Songbook, with performances by Meredith Anderson, Jennifer Harrison, and Matt Lutz and musical direction and accompaniment by Aaron Jodoin. Additional music is by Aaron Fisher. Singer and songwriter Rori Nogee (Off-Broadway's Pinkalicious) will also be featured during the evening. The event takes place Monday January 26, 2009 at 9:30pm at The Duplex Cabaret Theater (61 Christopher Street @ Seventh Avenue). There is a $10 cover plus 2-drink minimum. USC WRITERS AND PERFORMERS FIGHT ON On Sunday, September 28, alums of the University of Southern California will perform and present their material in Fight On, a Night of USC Talent to fundraise for the school's theater department.
