VERY YOUNG PEOPLE'S CONCERTS TO FEATURE MUSIC BY VIVALDI, SUNDAY, APRIL 11, 2010, AT 12:30 AND 3:00 P.M., AND MONDAY, APRIL 19, AT

The 2009-10 New York Philharmonic Very Young People's Concerts, geared to children ages 3 to 6, will begin on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and continue on Monday, March 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Merkin Concert Hall, 129 West 67th Street.

The 2009-10 New York Philharmonic Very Young People's Concerts, geared to children ages 3 to 6, will begin on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and continue on Monday, March 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Merkin Concert Hall, 129 West 67th Street.

Musicians from the New York Philharmonic will perform chamber works by Mozart, Ravel, and Brahms at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Sunday, January 17, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. They will be joined by guest pianist Yefim Bronfman.

Christoph von Dohnanyi will conduct the New York Philharmonic in Mozart's Sinfonia concertante for Violin and Viola, performed by Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow and Principal Viola Cynthia Phelps; and Bruckner's Symphony No. 4, Thursday, December 10, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, December 11, at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 8:00 p.m.

The program will feature pieces by Dvo?ák, Bartók, and Smetana, along with hands-on music-making with musicians from the orchestra.

Seattle Theatre Group (STG Presents), Live Nation, and The Lakeside Group present the first-ever No Depression Festival, sponsored by the pioneering and influential roots-music magazine and website. The festival will take place Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington, just outside Seattle. The all-day event will feature Gillian Welch, Iron & Wine, Patterson Hood & The Screwtopians, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, a Seattle roots-music all-star revue, and Zee Avi.
