ABC Studios Announce New 2013-2014 Series Orders

ABC Studios had another banner development year with nine new shows ordered to series. New dramas "Betrayal," "Killer Women," "Lucky 7," "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," "Resurrection," along with new comedies "Trophy Wife" and "Mixology," were picked up at ABC. New drama "Intelligence" was ordered at CBS. ABC Studios had the most drama orders of any studio.

Lifetime Orders WITCHES OF EAST END to Series

Lifetime has picked up the drama Witches of East End, starring Julia Ormond (Mad Men), Jenna Dewan-Tatum (American Horror Story), Rachel Boston (In Plain Sight) and Madchen Amick (Twin Peaks), it was announced today by Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President, Programming, of Lifetime Networks. Lifetime ordered 10 episodes of the series to launch this year.

Meanwhile, the Gilchrist's host the Austrian Chancellor (guest star David St. James) and his wife (guest star Rebecca Wysocki ), but when Emily (Jenna Elfman) questions proper protocol and tries to do things her own special way, she lands herself in quite a difficult situation. Elsewhere, Skip (Josh Gad) realizes his true calling in life. Martha MacIsaac, Andre Holland, Amara Miller and Benjamin Stockham also star. Robbie Amell and Rene Auberjonois guest star.

Dane DeHaan and Rebecca Wisocky Guest Star on HBO 'True Blood'

Dane DeHaan and Rebecca Wisocky have joined HBO's True Blood as guest stars, according to Deadline.com. DeHaan, whose stage credits include THE ALIENS, AMERICAN BUFFALO, SIXTY MILES TO SILVER LAKE and END DAYS, will play Timbo, a teen looked after by Ryan Kwaten's character, Jason. Currently, DeHaan plays Jesse on the HBO series, In Treatment. Wisocky will play Queen Mab, a quick-temptered leader who presides over a fantasy land. She has been seen on stage in AMAZONS AND THEIR MEN, for which she received an Obie Award. Other stage credits include GOD'S EAR, 36 VIEWS, and SUENO. She has also been cast on 90210, The Mentalist, CSI and Big Love and will have a future engagement with the film, Atlas Shrugged.

The Fire Dept Artistic Directors Erica Gould and Audrey Rosenberg presented The Minotaur, the first installment of the company's 2009 Salon Series, the cast for the performance included Mario Cantone, Jill Clayburgh, Phoebe Neidhardt, Ethan Peck, Campbell Scott, and Jeremy Webb. The Minotaur, written by Anna Ziegler; directed by Erica Gould; and produced by Audrey Rosenberg, took place Friday, March 27 at 7:30pm at the historic Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South at 20th Street.

Salon Series-Staged Readings Of New Plays Begins Again 3/27

The Fire Dept Artistic Directors Erica Gould and Audrey Rosenberg have announced that the return of the company's Salon Series-staged readings of new plays, presented in non-proscenium environments that encourage an intimacy between audience and performer, followed by a discussion with the artists and noted guest speakers whose life experiences speak to the issues raised by the material-will begin with The Minotaur by Anna Ziegler (BFF), directed by Erica Gould (Neil LaBute's autobahn and Stand Up), and starring Mario Cantone (Sex and the City), Jill Clayburgh (Dirty Sexy Money, An Unmarried Woman), Campbell Scott (Dying Young, Singles, Longtime Companion), and Jeremy Webb (The Glorious Ones, Kander & Ebb's The Visit) on Friday, March 27 at 7 pm at the historic Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South at 20th Street. The event will be produced by Audrey Rosenberg (Infamous with Sandra Bullock, upcoming documentary about Barack Obama).
