Show Boat is recognised as a classic show in the Musical Theatre canon and Daniel Evans does a worthy job of bringing it back with style and class. From the opening chord, the wonderful score sounds better than ever and what could be a clunky revival feels fresh, exciting and polished.

Daniel Evans' Sheffield Crucible production of Show Boat has now transferred to the West End with opening night last night (Monday 25 April 2016) at the New London Theatre.    

We talk to Sandra Marvin about transferring the classic show to the New London Theatre, the bravery of the material, and her hopes for the run.

The Daily Mail writes that stars Gina Beck, Emmanuel Kojo and Rebecca Trehearn will move with Daniel Evans' production of the classic musical from April 9 at the New London Theatre. Olivier nominee Michael Xavier, who played 'Gaylord Ravenal' in the original production, will not reprise his role, as he will be starring opposite Glenn Close in SUNSET BOULEVARD at the London Coliseum. The trio of leading stars announced for the third in the intimate West End Switched Off concert series are Evelyn Hoskins (Sound of Music Live, Carrie, Spring Awakening), Tyrone Huntley (Memphis, The Book of Mormon, Sister Act), and Jodie Steele (Jesus Christ Superstar, Fame).

Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director Daniel Evans today announces, due to popular demand, a one-week extension for his new production of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II's musical Show Boat.  The production which opens on 16 December 2015, with previews from 10 December, will now run until 23 January 2016.

American composer Jonathan Reid Gealt is back in London to launch his third studio album WHATEVER I WANT IT TO BE on Sunday 11th October at St James Studio before its official worldwide release on 29th November.

The original London cast of Pasek and Paul's Dogfight, will be reunited at the St James Theatre in a concert on Oct. 11.  Jamie Muscato and Laura Jane Matthewson will reprise their performances.  The cast also features Cellen Chugg Jones, Nicholas Corre, Matthew Cutts, Ciaran Joyce, Amanda Minihan, Rebecca Trehearn and Samuel J.
