Starz Orders THE WHITE QUEEN Sequel Miniseries

Starz announced today the company has greenlit 'The White Princess,' the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed STARZ Original Miniseries event 'The White Queen,' from Company Pictures. Adapted from Philippa Gregory's best-selling novel of the same name and part of The Cousins' War book series, 'The White Princess' tells the story of England's War of the Roses from the perspective of the women. The 8-episode limited series drama is currently in pre-production.

According to Deadline, Golden Globe nominee Rebecca Ferguson (BBC's THE WHITE QUEEN) has landed the female lead in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 5, set to be directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and written by video game scribe Will Staples. Alec Baldwin is also in talks to join the cast as the head of the CIA.

Lifetime's miniseries The Red Tent, based on the best-selling novel by Anita Diamant, premieres December 7 and December 8 at 9pm ET/PT. The Red Tent is a sweeping tale that takes place during the times of the Old Testament, told through the eyes of Dinah, the daughter of Leah and Jacob. Hercules, as the story goes, is the half-mortal son of Zeus, King of the Gods… or is he? The new “Hercules” movie out this week, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the most famous of Greek God offspring, asks the audience to question everything that they know about this millennia-old myth. The film's script asks us to wonder if Hercules is truly a demi-god or just a mercenary with good PR. But the film's look and feel presents us with a less philosophical version of the same question, is he more Superman or Batman?
