With a new dance floor, Billy Bob's Texas fans will be two-stepping throughout the month of December with top name entertainers from the past, present and future gracing its historic stage.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present the newest Broadway sensation, Bonnie Milligan, who made her solo debut on Monday, November 26.

"CMA Country Christmas" is set to air Monday, Dec. 10 at 8:00 PM/ET (7:00 PM/CT) on the ABC Television Network. Reba McEntire returns as both host and performer during the holiday music special. In addition to Reba, legendary acts and Country favorites in the all-star lineup include Tony Bennett, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Amy Grant, Diana Krall, Dustin Lynch, Martina McBride, Old Dominion, Brad Paisley, Michael W. Smith, Lindsey Stirling, The Isaacs and Brett Young coming together for a night filled with Christmas classics and festive one-of-a-kind collaborations. This year marks the ninth broadcast of the seasonal special. 

As the 2nd annual “Heal The Music Day” wraps for 2018, more than 170 members of the music community – songwriters, musicians, performers, artist managers, publishers, business managers, record labels, trade organizations and more – pledged a percentage of their single-day revenues to support their fellow musicians and peers in the industry in times of medical crisis. With $300,000 raised in support of Music Health Alliance, every dollar donated equals $30 in life-saving healthcare resources. Music Health Alliance's free services range from access to doctors and hospitals, medicine, health insurance and finding financial assistance during times of illness.

Singer/songwriter Jimmy Charles' debut EP, HARD WAY TO GO, is set for December 7 release and is available for pre-order now. Charles wrote or co-wrote all but one of the songs with partners whose credits range from cuts by Country legends (Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Randy Travis) to young guns (Chris Cagle, Hunter Hayes, Eli Young Band). Multi-Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and actress Gloria Estefan will host the 41st Annual Kennedy Center Honors, on Sunday, December 2, 2018. The Honors Gala will be recorded for broadcast on the CBS Television Network for the 41st year as a two-hour primetime special on Wednesday, December 26 (8:00-10:00 pm., ET/PT). This will be Estefan's first time hosting the special. She received a Kennedy Center Honors in 2017.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Georgetown University celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a free, ticketed musical tribute titled Let Freedom Ring!

To kick off the holiday season, ABC Radio announces a three-hour country music special, “Holiday Season Serenade,” hosted by country music star Martina McBride, and a three-hour special titled “America Gives Thanks.” These two specials will be available over the Thanksgiving weekend.

As BroadwayWorld reported in July, the John F. KENNEDY Center for the Performing Arts will present the 2018 KENNEDY CENTER HONORS for lifetime artistic achievements on December 2, and the event will be held with an empty Presidential box for the second year in a row. NBC reports that President Trump and the first lady will not attend the ceremony, which is typically attended by the first couple.

The stars of country music gathered for the 56 th annual American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Country Music Awards on Monday, November 12, at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville. The writers and publishers of country music's most-performed songs of the past year were honored before an invitation-only audience of notable Nashville songwriters, top country artists and music industry leaders.

ABC celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with special '25 Days of Christmas' programming starting Dec. 1. The network joins Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior in this fan-favorite TV event. The 'Kickoff to Christmas' begins in late November with perennial holiday treat 'Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.' The month of December is filled with special Christmas-themed episodes, the return of 'The Great Christmas Light Fight' and 'The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition,' and timeless animated classics and holiday films. The celebration continues after Christmas with New Year's-themed programming ringing in 2019.

Today's subject, Nancy Anderson, has been living her theater life on Broadway and in regional theaters for many years now. You can currently see her as the tight-fisted, but caring dance teacher Mrs. Wilkinson in Billy Elliot at Signature Theatre. The production plays through January 6, 2019 in the MAX space. Directed and choreographed by Signature Theatre's Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner, it very well may be the largest production the company has presented to date.

After last year's successful company-wide “25 Days of Christmas” programming event, Disney|ABC Television will again be the TV destination for all must-see holiday programming by bringing holiday cheer across all of their channels. Beginning Dec. 1, ABC, Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior will be airing holiday-themed programming and entertainment for the whole family throughout the month, leading up to Christmas Day.

The Country Music Association's critically acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance at Showbox SoDo in Seattle Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 PM featuring performances by Bailey Bryan, Barry Dean, Sam Palladio and Cassadee Pope. The series hosts intimate performances with some of Country Music's most exciting songwriting talent taking turns telling the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. GRAMMY-Award winning singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor will perform LIVE at AT&T Stadium during the nationally televised halftime of the Dallas Cowboys game against the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving Day, kicking off The Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign. Donations to the iconic campaign help provide shelter and meals for the homeless and hungry, and Christmas toys for millions of children, in addition to numerous other social service programs year-round.
