Photo Flash: Keira Knightley & Cast of THERESE RAQUIN Take First Broadway Bows!

The Broadway adaptation of THERÈSE RAQUIN, starring Academy and Golden Globe nominee Keira Knightley (Therese) in her Broadway debut, began preview performances last night, October 1, 2015, and opens officially on Thursday, October 29, 2015 on Broadway at Studio 54. The new adaptation is written by Helen Edmundson, based upon the novel by Emile Zola, directed by Evan Cabnet. Below, check out photos of the company taking their first Broadway bows!

Up on the Marquee: THERESE RAQUIN

The Broadway adaptation of Therese Raquin will star Academy and Golden Globe nominee Keira Knightley (Therese) making her Broadway debut alongside Tony award winner Gabriel Ebert (Camille), Matt Ryan(Laurent) and two-time Tony award winner Judith Light (Madame Raquin). This adaptation of Therese Raquin is written by Helen Edmundson, based upon the novel by Emile Zola, directed by Evan Cabnet. The full cast will also include David Patrick Kelly, Jeff Still, Mary Wiseman, Glynis Bell, Alex Mickiewicz, Sara Topham, Ray Virta.

I'm excited to announce complete casting for our upcoming production of Therese Raquin, directed by Evan Cabnet. Joining the previously announced Keira Knightley, Gabriel Ebert, Matt Ryan, and Judith Light, I'm thrilled to welcome David Patrick Kelly (Michaud), Jeff Still (Grivet), Mary Wiseman (Suzanne), Glynis Bell (Ensemble), Alex Mickiewicz (Ensemble), Sara Topham (Ensemble), and Ray Virta (Ensemble) to the cast.

Attic Theater Company to Host Reading of John Tillotson's THE FACE OF HEAVEN, 11/11

The Attic Theater Company presents THE FACE OF HEAVEN, a staged reading of a new play by John Tillotson, directed by Laura Braza. The reading will take place on Tuesday, November 11 at 7:30 PM in the The Ellington Room at Manhattan Plaza (400 West 43rd Street - 2nd Floor). The reading is FREE and open to the public. Kristine Nielsen, Merwin Goldsmith & More Set for STAGE DOOR Benefit Reading, 3/18

The Acting Company will present a benefit staged reading of Stage Door by Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman at 7 pm on Monday, March 18 at the Ailey Studios Joan Weill Center for Dance, 405 West 55th Street (Ninth Avenue). The performance, starring Kristine Nielsen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Merwin Goldsmith (Grand Hotel, Me and My Gal), Heidi Armbruster (Disgraced, Time Stands Still), Zoe Winters (4,000 Miles, Gossip Girl) will be followed by a reception with the cast and director, Irene Lewis, former Artistic Director of Baltimore's Centerstage. A dozen Acting Company Alumni Members-Beth Bartley, Kaliswa Brewster, Georgia Cohen, Susan Finch, Adam Green, Julie Jesneck, Jonathan Kaplan (Tony nom. AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE Begins Final 8 Performances; Will Close 11/18

Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, directed by Tony winner Doug Hughes, begins the final 8 performances of its acclaimed limited engagement tonight at 7 PM. When it ends its extended, acclaimed run on Sunday, November 18 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street), the production will have played 59 regular performances and 26 previews.
