Milwaukee Repertory Theater has named Associate Artist May Adrales as a new Associate Artistic Director for the 2017/18 Season beginning this Fall. 

Following one of its most successful seasons ever, Arizona Theatre Company launches its next 50 years with a 2017-18 season full of drama, romance and music.

Queensbury Theatre, 12777 Queensbury Lane, Houston, TX 77024 is proud to present It Ain't Nothin' but the Blues, a sizzling musical revue that traces the history of blues music with more than three dozen songs. The eight member cast and incredible onstage band create the atmosphere of a blues club during a musical journey from Africa to Mississippi to Memphis to Chicago. Johnny Cash.  Just the name is iconic, but his music and that deep, calm bass-baritone voice made the "Man in Black" an American legend. From his songbook comes this crowd-pleasing, foot-stomping musical celebration that tells a fascinating story of love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption, home and family.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater Artistic Director Mark Clements and Managing Director Chad Bauman are pleased to announce the 2017/18 Season with 13 productions in four venues spanning September 2017 - May 2018.  With the start of the 2017/18 Season both Artistic Director Mark Clements and Managing Director Chad Bauman will renew their contracts with Milwaukee Rep for an additional four and six years respectively.  Artistic Director Mark Clements began his tenure at Milwaukee Rep in 2010 by introducing a musical into the Quadracci Powerhouse season, creating the New Play Development program, and adapting and directing the world premiere production of A Christmas Carol this past December.   With this contract renewal through 2021 he will continue his commitment to presenting world class works on all three stages.    Managing Director Chad Bauman came to The Rep in 2013 and will continue through 2023 per his contract renewal.  In his time here he has implemented a fruitful strategic business model that supports the theater's artistic vision with a focus on quality, inclusion, citizenship, innovation, and stability.

Known by legions of fans as 'the Man in Black,' artist and performer Johnny Cash was a musical jack-of-all-trades. A singer, songwriter, and guitarist all in one, his music incorporates country-western sounds with gospel and blues influences. Syracuse Stage celebrates this American icon with 'Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash,' an addition to the theater's 2016/2017 season.

Now in its sixth season, the Lone Tree Arts Center (LTAC) has established a reputation for presenting outstanding and engaging professional performances for audiences reaching far beyond its south metro Denver location. 60,000 people a year attend performances at the Arts Center, with ticket sales topping $1 million annually. At a private subscriber event on Friday evening, Executive Director Lisa Rigsby Peterson announced LTAC's offerings for the 2016-17 season.

BACK HOME AGAIN: ON THE ROAD WITH JOHN DENVER comes to the Ivoryton Playhouse, April 6 - April 24, 2016.

"The setting is a nameless South Side Chicago blues club," said Myler, who'll direct the production for the Playhouse. "It's Saturday night, into Sunday morning. The linking dialogue is from actual blues artists that we interviewed, but it's the music that drives the piece."

A mellow eveing of memories opens The Rep's Stackner Cabaret for their 2016-2017 seaso. Back Home Again: On the Road with John Denver recalls the live and reminiscing of former band member and fellow musician Dan Wheetman. A man who travelled on tour with the acoustic country and folk music singer John Denver for eight years through the 1970s-80's, when John Denver took the songwriting world by storm.

Where All The Rivers Go To Sleep, with music by Jesse Gelber and lyrics & book by Kate Manning, will be presented as part of NYMF. Directed by Randal Myler, with music director Dan Lipton and general manager Dan Whitten, the show runs tonight, July 18th at 8pm and July 19th at 12pm at the PTC Performance Space, 555 West 42nd Street.
