Juilliard Dance, under the leadership of Alicia Graf Mack, opens its season with New Dances: Edition 2018 featuring four world-premiere dances by innovative choreographers Marcus Jarrell Willis (whose dance features the first-year class); Nelly van Bommel (featuring the second-year class); Juilliard alumnus Peter Chu (featuring the third-year class); and Stefanie Batten Bland (featuring the fourth-year class). Each choreographer works with one of the classes for the semester creating the new work; all Juilliard's dancers participate in the New Dances program.

Sir Howard Panter and Dame Rosemary Squire have made two major appointments as part of their planned expansion of Trafalgar Entertainment Group (TEG).

Gear up for a livewire inaugural season. . . Boston Dance Theater (BDT) takes to the local stage for the first time this November 30 and December 1, 2018 at 8PM at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), presented by World Music/ CRASHarts. This spring, the internationally lauded dance troupe BalletBoyz will present the London premiere of Them/Us, an innovative double bill and a brand new collaboration from the company's own critically acclaimed dancers and the Olivier Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon. A co-production with Sadler's Wells, Them/Us will arrive at the London venue from 5 to 9 March, 2019, with opening night for press on 6 March.

Graduate students of Rambert School's BA in Ballet & Contemporary Dance will be performing at The Point, Eastleigh, for the first time ever on the evening of Friday 29 June.

Sheridan Smith and Danny Mac were among the winners at the Manchester Theatre Awards - which were announced today at The Lowry.

Today, Elaine Paige and Alexandra Burke announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2018 with Mastercard, UK's most prestigious stage honours. The 2018 awards are set to be an exciting occasion with original new work dominating the categories and a significant number of artists receiving their first ever Olivier nominations. Catherine Tate will host the Awards at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 8 April and they will be broadcast to the UK and worldwide.

Leading professional dance training organisation Central School of Ballet in London has announced plans to recruit young dance talent from the United States to study for their three year degree programme. Central already attracts a mix of students from all over the world, including Japan, Australia, Italy, France, Spain, South Africa, Turkey, and Singapore alongside those from the UK.

Nominations have been announced for the forthcoming Manchester Theatre Awards, to be held at The Lowry's Quays Theatre on Friday 9 March, hosted by actor and comedian Justin Moorhouse.

Central School of Ballet's renowned graduate performing company Ballet Central will commence its annual nationwide tour at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London on Friday 2nd March 2018. Under the artistic direction of Christopher Marney, Ballet Central's diverse range of dance and theatre will perform in 20 towns and cities in England and Wales across a five month period.

Today's subject Liam Mower is currently living his theatre life on tour with esteemed choreographer Matthew Bourne's production of The Red Shoes in the role of Ivan Boleslawsky. The production concludes a week-long engagement today at Kennedy Center's Opera House before continuing on to Charlotte, NC and New York, NY.

Kyo-Shin-An Arts' award-winning concert series, presented in collaboration with Arts at Tenri Cultural Institute in Manhattan, features a blend of KSA commissions with World, American and NY premieres, traditional and contemporary music for Japanese instruments and Western repertoire.

Though effectively retired from performing since 1996, Darshan Singh Bhuller recently started taking classes at Gibney Dance and rehearsing Mark Morris Dance Center in NYC. The reason? He is dancing at the upcoming gala celebration honouring Nadine Senior, the founding principal of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance who passed in January 2016.
