The following is an overview of the 2009-2010 Professional Performance Season presented by the Poway Center For The Performing Arts Foundation. And, once again, the POW! Foundation has created an eclectic mix of performers and performance genres as the Foundation's goal is to make every performing arts season an emotional and intellectual adventure for audiences of all ages.

Gary Ruley and Mule Train take the Lime Kiln Bowl stage Saturday, July 25th at 7:30 p.m. Together with a band of talented musicians, Ruley formulates a hi-test bluegrass, new grass and roots music ensemble, connecting generations of yesterday and today with inventive sounds of powerful acoustic music.

A world premiere production of 'Medea' starring Annette Bening will kick off UCLA Live's 2009-10 season, announced artistic and executive director David Sefton Wednesday evening at Royce Hall. The play, the first-ever original production created by UCLA Live, will be directed by Croatia's Lenka Udovicki who is known for her opera and theater creations throughout Europe.

In its 13th Season, the Virginia Arts Festival will present the world?s great performers to audiences throughout Hampton Roads, in six whirlwind weeks that will bring over 50 performances to more than two dozen venues in ten cities across the region. Performances include the best of Broadway, breathtaking ballet, electrifying modern dance, colorful performance traditions from around the world?and great music for every taste, from the world?s most acclaimed classical artists to top performers of pop, country, bluegrass, and jazz. Showstoppers Liza Minnelli and Patti LuPone, two of the most extraordinary voices in American theater, bookend the 2009 Festival.

Triple Showcase at the West Bank Cafe to Feature Michael Wolff Trio, Creole Jazz Serenaders with Don Vappie, and the Red Clay Ramblers January 10th and 11th. Events are Open to the Public, and Part of APAP Conference as well. Three incredible bands will deliver two nights of top-notch music, with January 10th and 11th showcases at the West Bank Caf? in NYC:

The Broadway by the Year series will showcase musicals from 1930, 1956, 1968 and 1978 in 2006, and other events will also be featured at Town Hall
