The Wizard of Oz, featuring some of movie music's most unforgettable standards, along with new music written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber; a book adapted by Lloyd Webber and Jeremy Sams... and everything else that is good made its way successfully to Hollywood's Pantages Theatre last week (September 18) for a high flying opening night celebration which drew a full house of young and old alike. Among those involved with the festivities were BWW TV's own Los Angeles correspondents Michael Sterling and Jerry Evans on the red carpet walk of fame. Among the celebrities in attendance were Rico Rodriquez (ABC's Modern Family) and his sister Raini Rodriguez (Disney's Austin and Ally), Fox TV's Lauren Potter (Glee), Academy Award winner George Chakiris (West Side Story), Kate Linder (The Young and The Restless), Jane Kean (The Honeymooners), Ann Jeffrey's (General Hospital, Topper), Corbin Bleu (One Life to Live), RJ Mitte (AMC's Breaking Bad), Michelle Dockery of the BBC's Downton Abbey and others of note. The Hub Network, a destination for kids and their families, announced today that Bailee Madison ('Trophy Wife'), Laura Marano ('Austin & Ally'), Rico Rodriguez ('Modern Family'), Raini Rodriguez ('Austin & Ally'), Keean Johnson ('Spooksville') and Todd Newton ('Family Game Night') will present at the star-studded 'Hub Network's First Annual Halloween Bash,' celebrating all things Halloween. As previously announced, 'Saturday Night Live' actor and comedian, Kenan Thompson, will host the one-of-a-kind special, including a performance by chart-topping musician Cody Simpson. The 'Halloween Bash' will also include the first-ever nationwide 50-state costume competition judged by a celebrity panel, including Halloween-expert Martha Stewart. The live-to-tape event will be broadcast on Saturday, October 26, 8-10 p.m. ET/5-7 p.m. PT. Additional presenters, judges and chart-topping musical acts will also be announced shortly.

Disney Channel has ordered a third season of 'Austin & Ally,' TV's #1 comedy series in Kids 2-11, it was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. The series stars Ross Lynch, Laura Marano, Raini Rodriguez and Calum Worthy. Production resumes in Los Angeles in July, with Season Three scheduled to premiere in October 2013.
