From January 14-22, the Independent Drama Society continues its 2010-2011 season, a season of love and loathing, with GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS, directed by Brett Marks (Cherry Smoke with Gurnet Theatre Project, former Lyric Stage Producing Associate).
The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) announced today that Artistic Director Diane Paulus, Pulitzer prize-winning writer Suzan-Lori Parks, and two-time Obie winner Diedre Murray have been chosen by the Gershwin Trusts and the Heyward Trust to re-imagine the Gershwins' seminal American opera Porgy and Bess.

Thursday, Oct. 28, the Out to Lunch concert series returns for another season. These concerts will
feature local artists playing a variety of music including 50's rock-n-roll, acoustic country, jazz and
more. Break away from your computer screen, discover new music, and enjoy the weather and fresh air. Chairs and lawn seating are available, but guests are encouraged to bring stadium cushions and blankets. Cucina Di Vita, Italian deli will provide sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, antipasto plates, fresh lemonade, iced tea, coffee, and more onsite at Mesa Arts Center. Brown bags and picnic baskets are welcome and many of Downtown Mesa's unique restaurants offer convenient and appetizing take-out options. Out to Lunch concerts are FREE and open to the public.
