13 is a grown-up story about growing up. It opened on Broadway in 2008 featuring the only all-teenage cast to ever be on Broadway. Next month, in partnership with ACT - A Contemporary Theatre, Broadway Bound will produce the Northwest professional premiere of the musical. The Broadway Bound cast, like the Broadway Company, will be comprised of all teens. In recognition of this production, Mr. Brown will be coming to Seattle to attend the preview and opening night performances and work with the cast of 13. He will also conduct a talk back with the audience following the December 9 performance.
Broadway Bound Children's Theatre will present Jason Robert Brown in Concert, on December 8 th at 9:00pm following the preview performance of Seattle's first professional staging of his musical 13. The concert will be Mr. Brown's first ever in Seattle.

You'll quickly forget the moppet-haired urchins of musical fame when Joel Sass designs and directs the Midwest premiere of an inventive new adaptation of OLIVER TWIST at Park Square. This theatrical adventure is told by a chameleon cast of 13, who combine Dickens' original text with Victorian music hall tunes. 'So much of the story hinges on our hopes and fears for little Oliver as he voyages through the exciting but highly dangerous world of Victorian London,' Sass explains. 'It's a grown-up world, even for streetwise ruffians-so placing one lone boy among a cast of grown-ups who are playing all the other parts instantly helps us feel the immensity of the challenge Oliver is facing.'

Philip Himberg, producing artistic director of the Sundance Institute Theatre Program, will assume the position of board president. He will be joined by returning vice president, James Bundy, artistic director, Yale Repertory Theatre and newly appointed vice president Rachel Kraft, executive director, Lookingglass Theatre Company. Roche Schulfer, executive director, Goodman Theatre will serve as treasurer and Olga Sanchez, artistic director, Miracle Theatre Group, will serve again as secretary.
