Phil Collins Announces Third And Final Sydney Show

Phil Collins' 9-date Australian tour kicks off at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on Saturday 19 January, followed by Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena on Monday 21, Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 January, Adelaide Oval on Friday 25 January, RAC Arena (formerly known as Perth Arena) on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 January and Melbourne's AAMI Park on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 February.

Recent Grammy Award-winners Third Coast Percussion return to Liquid Music with new works by two incredible musical minds: the iconic American composer Philip Glass and the pop polymath Devonte Hynes, a.k.a. Blood Orange. Glass's new work, written for Third Coast Percussion and co-commissioned by Liquid Music, is his first ever for percussion ensemble. Hynes, who has also become a Glass collaborator in recent years, brings his "dense modern pop with roots in hip-hop, R&B and NYC culture" (The Guardian) to an entirely new sound world in his piece for Third Coast Percussion. Today the Global Down Syndrome Foundation (Global) announced film stars Colin Farrell and Zack Gottsagen will receive Global's Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award (Q Award), as well asits initial celebrity lineup for the 10th Anniversary of the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show. The marquee event is the largest Down syndrome fundraiser in the world and will be held during Down Syndrome Awareness Month on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, 1550 Court Place in Denver.

On Monday, November 5, 2018, the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) will host its annual New York Fall Gala at Cipriani 42ndStreet in New York City.  At this year's gala, EJAF Founder Sir Elton John and Chairman David Furnish will honor Ford Foundation President Darren Walker, philanthropist Patricia Hearst, and long-time advocate Joe McMillan, CEO and Chairman of DDG, with EJAF's Enduring Vision Award.  Nine-time Grammy Award Winning Singer, Songwriter Sheryl Crow will be the special musical guest, and Bryan Stevenson, Founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) and the new National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama, will be the featured speaker. CBS This Morning co-anchor and journalist Gayle King will host the event.

Los Angeles-based electro-folk duo PublicART will release their new EP Modernika on September 21st. The record was produced and mixed by the band's multi-instrumentalist Jan Ozveren, co-produced by singer Stevvi Alexander, with all songs co-written by both. Mastering was performed by multi-award winner Reuben Cohen (Iggy Pop, Pharrell Williams, Interpol). Modernika is available for pre-order now from iTunes.

Film Series REAL TO REEL Launches At The Bickford Theatre

The Morris Museum will launch its new Real to Reel Film Series on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 7:30PM in the Bickford Theatre. This documentary film series will provide a unique focus on the world around us and will be hosted monthly by Bruce Frigeri, an adjunct professor of film studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  For each screening there will be a discussion with Bruce before the film to provide further insights.
