A year ago this summer (July 31, to be exact), Terri White performed a one-off show at 54 Below that was so stirring in its show-woman ship she was voted the winner of the 2013 BroadwayWorld New York Cabaret Award for 'Best One-Show Special Event.' Based on the Broadway and nightclub veteran's performance in her recent June 22 show at the same club, White should be a candidate to pick up the award once again this year. Maybe it's time to just call her, 'Terri Terrific.'

It's not often that music legends like Quincy Jones and George Benson lend their credibility to up and coming music artists. However, that is the case with 16-year old guitar prodigy Andreas Varady. He has been called 'the next George Benson' and Quincy Jones says he's 'one of the most talented people on this planet, who takes the music back to where it belongs.' Varady performs as part of Showcase 61 UpStage @ The Palace tonight, June 25th at 8:00pm. The Jazz Guild of Fairfield County will open. Tickets are just $15.

Singer/Songwriter Natalia Safran's 'Say Goodbye' Single Out Now; Salon Series So Far a Success

Following the tragic death of her friend Paul Walker, whose final film she penned the title song for; Singer/Songwriter Natalia Safran vowed to give back to the community whenever possible. Recently she hosted the first ever Salon Series at her Beverly Hills residence. The evening featured an intimate performance by students from the Music Unites Centennial High School Jazz Ensemble, a program started last summer in the Compton Unified School District. Safran was joined by Actor/Director David Arquette (pictured left), “Rock of Ages” star Diego Boneta, KIIS FM's DJ Skee and others.

The National YoungArts Foundation, with the generous support of The Related Group, announces the inauguration of the YoungArts Residency in Visual Arts, the first of several residency programs in the visual, literary, design and performing arts the organization is developing as it expands its support of the next generation of artists in the United States and strengthens its place as a creative-catalyst for Miami's growing cultural landscape. The YoungArts Residency in Visual Arts will be extended to at least three outstanding visual artists a year, offering them the opportunity to become immersed in the Miami community while developing their work. The program will welcome the accomplished painter Suzanne McClelland as the inaugural artist in residence starting in June 2014.
