Ariana Grande, Aretha Franklin and More Set for 'WOMEN OF SOUL' White House Concert, Airing 4/7 on PBS

As part of their 'In Performance at the White House' series, the President and First Lady will invite music legends and contemporary major female artists to the White House for a celebration of the great 'foremothers' of American music, with songs expressing the struggles and achievements of women. The program will include performances by Tessanne Chin, Melissa Etheridge, Aretha Franklin, Ariana Grande, Patti LaBelle, Janelle Monae and Jill Scott, with Greg Phillinganes as music director.

GMCLA to Present GOD SAVE THE QUEEN(S), 3/29-30

As same-sex marriages soon overtake churches and government halls in England and Wales, so too will British culture invade The Saban Theatre (8440 Wilshire Boulevard) in Beverly Hills as Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) presents 'God Save the Queen(s),' the second show of the Chorus's 35th season, on Saturday March 29, 2014 at 8 p.m. and Sunday March 30, 2014 at 3 p.m.

Matthew Rushing to Teach Ballet Master Class at Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 3/4-6

The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn St., announces that The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's Matthew Rushing will teach an Advanced Ballet Master Class as part of Ruth Page's 2014 Guest Artist Master Class Series on March 4 from 6 - 7:30 p.m., to be held in Ruth Page's own facilities. The class will be available at a first-come, first-serve drop-in basis and will be offered for $20 to the general public and $15 for industry professionals and college students. Pharrell Williams Headlines NBA All-Star Weekend Today

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced that Oscar-nominated musician Pharrell Williams, coming off of his multi-Grammy Award-winning night, will headline the 'Entertainment Series presented by Sean John at Macy's' during the 63rd NBA All-Star Game tonight, Feb. 16, at New Orleans Arena. The game will air live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT, ESPN Radio, and in 215 countries and territories in more than 47 languages. Recently added performers will include Jason Derulo, Aloe Blacc and Mack Wilds.

USA Network to Air IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT, 2/15

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Chairman Bonnie Hammer today announced the newest classic in the ongoing Characters Unite Film Series to use the power of storytelling to increase awareness of social injustices, stimulate productive dialogue and encourage further progress. USA Network will commemorate Characters Unite Month and Black History Month by presenting 'In the Heat of the Night' with limited commercials on Saturday, February 15 at 9/8c. The film, which was groundbreaking in its powerful portrayal of racism in America and played a role in advancing the civil rights movement, won five Oscars including Best Picture. Film, television and music icon Quincy Jones, who composed the music for the film, will give a special introduction.

NBC Olympics Host Bob Costas' Interview with President Obama to Air as Part of Opening Ceremony

NBC Olympics primetime and late night host Bob Costas, a 25-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, interviewed President Barack Obama on Thursday, Feb. 6, via satellite. Costas conducted the interview from NBC Olympics' studio in Sochi, Russia, site of the XXII Olympic Winter Games, while the President was in The White House. They exclusively discussed a variety of topics surrounding the Sochi Winter Games.
