One of Disney's most successful musical theatre endeavors, THE LION KING, continues its run in Mexico City at the Telcel Theatre.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the first show of its 2017-2018 Season, the world premiere musical Benny & Joon, with book by Kirsten Guenther, music by Nolan Gasser, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein.

The completely original new musical SOMETHING ROTTEN!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (THE BOOK OF MORMON, ALADDIN), with music and lyrics by GRAMMY Award winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, opens at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts Aug. 8 - 13, 2017.

USA Network today announced that critically-acclaimed drama series MR. ROBOT will return for its 10-episode third season on Wednesday, October 11 at 10/9c. The premiere date, along with the first image of Bobby Cannavale's highly-anticipated character Irving and an exclusive Season 3 trailer, were unmasked through a social media scavenger hunt orchestrated by the network.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts held the 26th Annual Summer Gala in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 15, 2017. The event benefits Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. The evening included special performances as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, live 'Fantasy Auction,' dinner and dancing.

Peak Performances will kick off its 2017-18 season-which consists entirely of works by women-with a visionary production of The Merchant of Venice from director Karin Coonrod and her Compagnia de' Colombari.

BWW Review: SOMETHING ROTTEN! is a Musical Lover's Delight

The completely original new musical Something Rotten!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, begins performances at The 5th Avenue Theatre on September 12 (press opening Friday, September 15), and runs through October 1, 2017. Intimate Apparel by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage is the second offering in Bay Street Theatre's spectacular 26th season. Excellently directed by Bay Street's Artistic Director Scott Schwartz, the show runs through July 30th at the charming Long Island venue. And I have to say that this is certainly one for the books.
