Atlantic Theater Company today announced the world premiere of Fernanda Coppel's new play CHIMICHANGAS AND ZOLOFT featuring Teddy Cañez, Zabryna Guevara, Alfredo Narcisco, Xochitl Romero, and Carmen Zilles, directed by Jaime Castañeda.

Today, Playwrights Horizons' began rehearsals today for the world premiere production of RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN, a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Obie Award winner Gian Gionfriddo, directed by Peter DuBois. 4@15: Four New Fifteen-Minute Musicals, performed in conjunction with University of California, Irvine, will commence performances Friday, April 20, for three performances only at Roy Arias Theatre Center. Tammy Holder serves as Music Director; Brian Blythe directs.

Called "Intense", "Shocking" and "Profoundly Moving" during its London premiere, the new rock musical TROUBLE THE MUSICAL will be presented at the Signature Theatre's Griffin Theatre as part of the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Canal Park Playhouse will launch THE BACK ROOM READING SERIES, a new monthly play reading series, with Susan Bernfield's TANIA IN THE GETAWAY VAN, directed by Portia Krieger. Partial Comfort Productions presents its 8th annual WELCOME MAT READING SERIES of new plays. The four-week series will be staged at Atlantic Theater Company's Studio Theater (330 W 16th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) beginning tonight, April 16.

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) begins performances of the world premiere production FUTURITY: A MUSICAL BY THE LISPS, with music and lyrics by Cesar Alvarez with The Lisps; book by Molly Rice and Cesar Alvarez; directed by Sarah Benson.Performances run from Friday, March 16 through Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the A.R.T.'s second space, OBERON, at 2 Arrow Street, Cambridge.

Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB), the Off-Broadway company known for its productions that integrate able-bodied actors with artists with disabilities, presents William Shakespeare's THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street), with previews set to begin Saturday, April 14, prior to an official press opening April 22. Ike Schambelan, TBTB artistic director and founder, directs.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park opens on Broadway on April 19, 2012. The acclaimed work by Bruce Norris, and directed by Pam McKinnon, will play the Walter Kerr Theatre for a limited 16-week engagement. Paul Gross, one of Canada's acclaimed actors, will lead the cast of Are You There, McPhee? a world premiere by John Guare at McCarter Theatre Center. Directed by Sam Buntrock, the production will run from May 4 through June 3, 2012. (Opening Night: Friday, May 11.)

Vertebrae, a new play by Lila Feinberg, will receive a three-performance staged workshop at New York Theatre Workshop's East 4th St Theatre from April 26-28.

Signature Theatre closes out its 2011/12 season sporting funky legwarmers and wielding neon glow sticks with the Washington premiere of the musical comedy hit Xanadu. Beginning performances on May 6th, Xanadu will be transforming Signature's MAX Theatre into one big disco-ball heaven - complete with satin shorts and roller skates! Nominated for four Tony Awards® (including "Best Musical"), the musical features a Book by Douglas Carter Beane, with Music and Lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar. Xanadu will play at Signature from May 6, 2012 through July 1, 2012. Tickets are now on sale.

Playwright Annie Baker and director Sam Gold-whose previous collaborations include the acclaimed The Aliens and Circle Mirror Transformation-have reunited to stage a new adaptation of Chekhov's masterpiece, Uncle Vanya. Soho Rep, which, in association with John Adrian Selzer, will present the world premiere production June 7-July 15, today announces the cast and creative team.

Will Pomerantz, director of The Blue Flower at Prospect Theater Company and Second Stage and Dai at the Culture Project, will direct Prospect Theater Company's upcoming production of Cole Porter's 1933 musical Nymph Errant. Performances will begin July 7 at the Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row.

The STARZ Original Series BOSS is set to premiere its second season on Friday, August 17th at 10pm ET/PT. Joining the ensemble cast as series regulars this season are Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, 'Glee') as Ian Todd, a smart and ambitious young advisor to Kane.
