WaxFactory presents a work-in-progress showing of PUT YOURSELF TOGETHER!, a modern, media-enhanced riff on Anton Chekhov's classic The Seagull.

The Barrow Group Theatre Company, recipient of the Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Awards, has announced its lineup for the 2017-2018 season with the New York premiere of Muswell Hill, a play by Torben Betts, followed by the world premiere of The Thing With Feathers, a new play by Scott Organ, the revival of A Walk in the Woods by Lee Blessing, and a special benefit performance of the award-winning solo play The Tricky Part by Martin Moran at The Barrow Group Mainstage Theatre (312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor).

'The Wizard of Oz,' presented by Harlem Repertory Theater (HRT) and Yip Harburg Foundation, will not close August 20. It has been extended through December 16, 2017 due to continuing and steady audience interest.

Producers Nelle Nugent, Steve Traxler, Kenneth Teaton, Benjamin Feldman, Doug Morris and Spencer Ross today announce full casting for the first Broadway revival of David Henry Hwang's Tony Award®-winning play, M. BUTTERFLY, directed by Tony Award® winner Julie Taymor.

Paper Mill Playhouse, recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, by special arrangement with Jeffrey Finn, has announced casting for the world-premiere production of the new musical comedy The Honeymooners, based on the CBS television series, with book by Dusty Kay and Bill Nuss, music by Stephen Weiner, and lyrics by Peter Mills.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, is wrapping up its summer season with This, written by Obie Award-winner Melissa James Gibson and directed by Louisa Proske. After receiving rave reviews during its off Broadway run in 2009, the play arrived on the St. Germain Satge, where it will run through August 27.

Ashley Griffin has been nominated for three major New York Innovative Theater Awards for her work on A.N.O.N. Productions' He For She inspired HAMLET - Best Leading Actress, Best Director and Best Revival of a Play. Ms. Griffin is now the first person in history to be nominated for a significant award for both playing Hamlet and directing HAMLET.* A.N.O.N. Productions' widely heralded, hit production of HAMLET premiered in 2015 and returned in 2016.

Botanicum Seedlings, the development series for playwrights at Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum, has announced the recipient of the 7th annual "Izzy" Award for new plays. The winning play, Still Life by Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich, was presented during last year's Summer Playreadings. The Izzy is named for Theatricum's first dramaturg, Israel Baran, who passed away in 2007. To honor Israel's keen mind, sharp tongue, and ear for language (despite the fact that he was frustratingly deaf), the Izzy was established to recognize the Seedlings play that "speaks to us the loudest."

Theatre Horizon's season of #WomenWhoDare starts off with a moving story of one family's history and culture that is made huge and universal by the power of theatre. Lisa Kron's 2.5 Minute Ride will have it's Philadelphia-area premiere at the Norristown theatre from October 6 through October 29, 2017.

Theatre of NOTE announces its production of the west coast premiere of WELCOME TO THE WHITE ROOM, written by Trish Harnetiaux and directed by Megan A McGuane. WELCOME TO THE WHITE ROOM will preview Today and Saturday, August 11 and 12, at 8pm, and will open on Thursday, August 17 at 8pm and run through Saturday, September 16 at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

Eboni Booth, Will Connolly, William Jackson Harper, Ben Horner, Cristin Milioti, David Pegram, and Teresa Yenque will comprise the cast of the LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater production of AFTER THE BLAST, a new play by Zoe Kazan, to be directed by Lila Neugebauer. 

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the first show of its 2017-2018 Season, the world premiere musical Benny & Joon, with book by Kirsten Guenther, music by Nolan Gasser, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein.

The Geffen Playhouse today announced the full cast for the first play in its 2017 / 2018 season, Halley Feiffer's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City.

Due to popular demand, Ars Nova, in association with Ma-Yi Theater and Woodshed Collective, has released a new block of tickets and has added performances (September 16 & 30 at 3pm) to the world premiere of KPOP, a high-octane immersive event that gives you a backstage pass to a K-pop music factory.

Capital Stage will launch its 2017-18 Season: Future Tense with the Obie Award Winner and Sacramento Premiere of An Octoroon by Branden Jacob-Jenkins. This poignant adaptation of a 19th century anti-slavery melodrama will be directed by star of stage and screen, and UCLA's professor of Theatre, Film and Television, Judith Moreland. An Octoroon will be the first production of Capital Stage's 13th Season, and will run from August 30 - October 1, 2017 with a Press Opening on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 8pm.

The 2016 Jacob's Pillow Dance Award Winner, Camille A. Brown, will bring her evening-length work BLACK GIRL: Linguistic Play to the Ted Shawn Theatre this summer, August 9-13.

Atlantic Theater Company will present Asian American Mixfest, a series of free readings co-produced by playwrights Lloyd Suh and Qui Nguyen that will run Today, August 9 through Thursday, August 17 at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16th Street).
