The improbable collaboration came together when Jack Splash happened to hear an old demo tape of Jon Brown, a Milwaukee singer/songwriter who had set aside his music career and become a firefighter in order to provide for his family.

ZACH Theatre announces the world premiere of Immortal Longings, the newest work by playwright and American Legend Terrence McNally. Previews begin June 12 with an Opening Date of June 20 and will run through July 14 in The Topfer at ZACH. The world premiere of Immortal Longings is a thoroughly revised version of Fire and Air which premiered at the Classic Stage Company (CSC) in New York City in the winter of last year.

Today, Carole Shorenstein Hays and Sonia Friedman Productions with Tom Kirdahy announced the additional casting for the West Coast Premiere of the Good Chance Theatre, National Theatre and Young Vic production of THE JUNGLE by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson at San Francisco's Curran. Set in Europe's largest unofficial refugee camp in Calais, France, the Jungle became a temporary home for more than 10,000 people in 2015. Under the direction of Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin, the limited engagement begins Tuesday March 26, 2019 and will run through Sunday, May 19, 2019. Opening night is Thursday, April 4, 2019. This spring, in collaboration with The Film Society of Summit, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey will present a series of documentary screenings of films focused on the contemporary art world. "It's important for the Art Center to partner with other community organizations," explained Sarah Walko, Director of Education and Community Programs. "Events like these offer different avenues into the conversation on contemporary art. Films, specifically, show the details of artists' lives, artistic processes, and stories surrounding the work in a format that is informative and entertaining. Further, pairing the film series with the Art Center's winter/spring exhibitions creates a complementary experience for people who are interested in art."
