Previews begin tonight, Thursday, April 10, for the Lincoln Center Theater production of THE CITY OF CONVERSATION, a new play by Anthony Giardina, directed by Doug Hughes, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse (150 West 65th Street). Opening night is Monday, May 5. The cast includes John Aylward, Phillip James Brannon, Kristen Bush, Beth Dixon, Barbara Garrick, Jan Maxwell, Luke Niehaus, Kevin O'Rourke and Michael Simpson.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker have announced that due to rave reviews and strong ticket sales, Love and Information, written by Caryl Churchill and directed by James Macdonald, will extend for two weeks through Sunday, April 6 at the Minetta Lane Theatre, 18 Minetta Lane. Love and Information had been scheduled to run through Sunday, March 23, 2014. Love and Information is produced in association with London's Royal Court Theatre.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that the NYTW production of the New York premiere of Belleville, written by Amy Herzog and directed by Anne Kauffman, will extend for two weeks through Sunday, April 14, following rave reviews and sold-out houses. Belleville (originally scheduled to close March 31) plays at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) rings in the New Year with William Shakespeare's romantic comedy As You Like It, staged by CST's Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin. The acting company for Griffin's lush production includes a host of Chicago Shakespeare favorites who have collectively performed over 100 roles at CST. Among the returning cast members are Kate Fry, performing the role of Rosalind in her seventh appearance at CST; Chaon Cross as Celia in her sixth CST appearance; Matt Schwader as Orlando in his ninth appearance; Phillip James Brannon as Touchstone in his fourth appearance; and longtime collaborators Ross Lehman as Jaques and Kevin Gudahl as Duke Senior, who return to CST to perform their respective 13th and 27th roles. Chicago Shakespeare Theater's As You Like It runs now through March 6, 2011, in CST's Courtyard Theater. Tickets are $44-$75 with special discounts available for groups of 10 or more. All patrons receive a 40% parking discount at Navy Pier garages. Tony-and Emmy Award-winning John Mahoney (Frasier, The Seafarer), Karen Aldridge (The Trinity River Plays, The Cook), Phillip James Brannon (The Brother/Sister Plays, Richard III), Joseph Foronda (Pacific Overtures, Miss Saigon), Ora Jones (Animal Crackers, The Brother/Sister Plays), Sandra Marquez (Boleros for the Disenchanted, Anna in the Tropics) and Teatro Vista Artistic Director Edward F. Torres (Electricidad, Elliot (A Soldier's Fugue)) join the Belarusian company on stage during the moving climactic moments of Being Harold Pinter, concluding an historic theatrical event for the City of Chicago. Two additional Chicago actors are still to be announced.
