The Kimmel Center and The Shubert Organization today announced the 2015-2016 Broadway Philadelphia season, featuring a spectacular lineup of Tony Award winning Broadway hits. The upcoming season features productions with a combined 46 Tony nominations, and will introduce six brand-new national touring shows making their Philadelphia premieres. The first annual Shubert Foundation High School Theatre Festival for New York City Public Schools will take place on Monday, March 9 at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) at 7:00 p.m. More than 100 talented students from five select New York City high schools will make their Broadway debuts.

The New 42nd Street's annual Gala will be held tonight, January 12 at The New Victory Theater, to honor Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe Award-winner John Lithgow with the New Victory Arts Award for his work in 'bringing kids to the arts and the arts to kids.' The New 42nd Street will also honor The Rudin Family with the inaugural Marian Heiskell Award for their role in shaping the future of New York City. Glenn Close will serve as Gala honorary chair.

Cameron Mackintosh announced today that his acclaimed new production of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schonberg's Tony Award-winning musical masterpiece LES MISERABLES will return to the Imperial Theatre, the show's home on Broadway for nearly 13 years and 5244 performances. Previews for the new production of LES MISERABLES will begin Saturday, March 1 with an official opening night Sunday, March 23. The original New York production of LES MISERABLES premiered first at the Broadway Theatre on March 12, 1987, later moving to the Imperial on October 17, 1990, where it played until May 18, 2003, for a total Broadway run of 6680 performances. The casting process for the new production has begun and will be completed later this summer.
