The 21st annual Dusty Film and Animation Festival and Awards kicks-off Sunday, May 2 and continues through Friday, May 7 and highlights over 100 films by students graduating from the BFA Film, Video and Animation Department at the School of Visual Arts (SVA). The program includes screenings of short films, videos and animations; and an awards ceremony and gala with notable presenters from the film industry.

According to The New York Times, when the Oprah Winfrey Network cable channel debuts in January 2011, viewers can expect a double dose of Orpah Winfrey herself. At that time she will still be hosting her syndicated talk show, The Oprah Winfrey show, and she will also be appearing on OWN in 'Behind the Scenes: Oprah's 25th Season,' which will document the behind the scenes life of her talk show. Due to contract details, Oprah was prohibited from appearing on OWN in a manner similar to her syndicated talk show until it goes off the air in the previously announced date of September 9, 2011, so this is OWN's solution to that problem.

It is truly the end of a a talk show era. Variety reports that the Emmy-winning The Oprah Winfrey Show will broadcast its final interview in September 9, 2011 when Oprah's syndication deal ends. The show will have run for 25 years. Oprah Winfrey, the show's host, announced the shows end to staffers at her Chicago-based Harpo production company yesterday and will make the news public on her program today, November 20th. The Oprah Winfrey Show airs on ABC at 4pm EST.
