Following the enormous success of the semi-staged performance of My Fair Lady at the Proms in 2012, John Wilson returns to perform Cole Porter's Tony Award-winning musical Kiss Me, Kate. Joining John Wilson and the John Wilson Orchestra, Broadway stalwarts Ben Davis, Alexandra Silber, Tony Yazbeck and West End star Louise Dearman lead the cast in an irreverent reworking of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew -- a play within a play. This is the BBC Proms debut for all four performers as they sing the energetic score in its original 1948 arrangement.
Sam Kelly was born in Manchester in 1943. Throughout his acting career, Kelly appeared in films, television, radio, and theatre. According to BBC News, Kelly passed away this morning after being admitted to a hospice. His agent, Lynda Ronan, confirmed his passing saying that he 'bravely fought' against his illness and that he died peacefully. He was 70.

Aled Jones and Tom Chambers will be starring as Bob Wallace and Phil Davis in the West End premiere of Irving Berlin's much-loved musical WHITE CHRISTMAS, which will open at London's newly refurbished Dominion Theatre on Wednesday 12 November for a strictly limited eight-week season, ending on 3 January 2015 (previewing from 8 November).

Tony Yazbeck (Gypsy, A Chorus Line), Jay Armstrong Johnson (New York Philharmonic's Sweeney Todd, Hands On A Hardbody, Hair), and Clyde Alves (Bullets Over Broadway, Nice Work If You Can Get It) will play the roles of 'Gabey,' 'Chip,' and 'Ozzie' - the sailors on 24-hour shore leave who take on the Big Apple in the critically-acclaimed Broadway revival of ON THE TOWN, directed by John Rando (Tony Award for Urinetown) and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse (Emmy Award winner for 'Smash'). Yazbeck, Johnson, and Alves will reprise their performances from last summer's acclaimed Barrington Stage production. Yazbeck first thrilled audiences with his portrayal of 'Gabey' in John Rando's presentation of ON THE TOWN at City Center Encores in 2008.
The world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy Bullets Over Broadway, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, will begin preview performances tomorrow, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) today announced its big, bold and all Broadway 10th Anniversary Season lineup to a packed house of invited donors and season subscribers. The eight full-scale productions will appear on the ABT Mainstage for the 2014-2015 season October 2014 through September 2015.

The electronic side project of indie rock frontman Phil Davis is released today, December 15th, 2013. In his electronic debut he demonstrates an ability to fuse indie rock influences with danceable beats and additive synths. His signature voice and and production style flirts with the sound of Nu-Disco and Synthpop while retaining the energy and attitude rock.
Performance Schedule: Irving Berlin's White Christmas opens Today, December 13, 2013 and continues through December 29. Performances continue nightly at 7:30 PM (except Dec. 16, 23, 24, 25). There are also Saturday matinees (Dec. 14, 21, 28) at 2:00 PM and Sunday matinees Dec. 15, 22, 29) at 2:00 PM.
White Christmas, always a treat on film (1954), creates a unique and refreshing glow on stage. The touring and original Broadway productions, which played Los Angeles only once at the Pantages, in 2005 were gloriously directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Randy Skinner, who turned the second act opener 'I Love a Piano' into one of the most inventive & lively tap sequences ever.
