After a critically acclaimed run of her solo show An American Journey, Maxine Linehan will next present Beautiful Songs. The show will begin performances on Wednesday, October 1st at The Metropolitan Room in New York (34 W. 22nd Street) and will follow with performances on October 8th, 15th and 22nd.

When Broward Stage Door Theatre's artistic director Derelle Bunn mentioned to director Michael Leeds and choreographer Kevin Black that she had an open time slot for a show, and asked them if they'd be interested in 'doing something', they jumped at the chance. "Kevin and I have wanted to work together for a while, and this was a terrific opportunity," says Leeds. "And then, of course, the question became - what should we do?!"

MSG Entertainment announced today that legendary French singer Charles Aznavour will make his only area appearance performing a farewell concert at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, September 20.

Short North Stage will present its 2014-15 season starting on October 2 with Sunset Boulevard, the musical version of Billy Wilder's Academy Award-winning 1950 movie of the same name. The score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is considered by many to be one of his finest. The book and lyrics are by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. Sunset Boulevard is a Hollywood legend about a faded 1920s silent-screen star, Norma Desmond, who lives in a decaying mansion on the fabled Los Angeles street. A chance meeting with a down-and-out screenwriter, Joe Gillis, feeds into her dream of writing a film that will be her comeback to the silver screen. Winning Tony Awards on Broadway for Best Musical, Best Book and Score and Best Actress in 1995, Sunset Boulevard opened originally in London starring Patti LuPone and later productions featured such stars as Betty Buckley, Glenn Close, Diahann Caroll and Petula Clark. Actor Hugh Jackman made his first stage splash as Joe Gillis in the Australian production. Performances run from Oct 2-19 on the Garden Theater Main Stage.

The Guthrie Theater presents My Fair Lady, the hummable, quotable, utterly enjoyable musical for the whole family. Playing for the first time at the Guthrie, under the direction of Joe Dowling, My Fair Lady will feature Helen Anker as Eliza Doolittle, Tony Sheldon as Colonel Pickering, Donald Corren as Alfred P. Doolittle - all in their Guthrie debuts - and Jeff McCarthy as Professor Henry Higgins. Performances began on the Wurtele Thrust Stage on Saturday, June 28, with an opening slated for tonight, July 4, 2014.

The Winter Park Playhouse brings back SHOUT! The Mod Musical, June 20-29 and July 10-19, 2014, with performances Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm and select Thursday matinees at 2:00 pm. After a sold out performance at Broadway at Birdland, actress/singer Maxine Linehan will next present a limited run of her solo show An American Journey, at Terminus Recording Studios in Time's Square. This world-class studio, where music royalty including Paul McCartney, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, John Legend, Andre Previn and Liza Minnelli have all recorded, will be converted into a unique pop-up cabaret performance space, especially for this event.
