Catch up on West End Live with this fan's eye view! Carrie Hope Fletcher, Peter Lockyer and the company of Les Miserables performed this medley of songs on the stage in Trafalgar Square.
Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? Today's big news: The 2014 Outer Critics Circle Awards are tonight, Susan Stroman is the guest of honor at this year's New Dramatists spring luncheon, and A LITTLE PRINCESS, AMERICAN HERO, A FABLE and THE VILLAGE BIKE all begin off-Broadway!
There will be major cast changes in the West End production of the 2014 BBC Radio 2 Olivier Audience Award winner "LES MISERABLES" at the Queen's Theatre from 16 June 2014. Joining the company are: Peter Lockyer as 'Jean Valjean'; David Thaxton as 'Javert'; Tom Edden as 'Thenardier'; Celinde Schoenmaker as 'Fantine'; Michael Colbourne as 'Enjolras' and Emilie Fleming as 'Cosette'.
In honor of Les Miserables' opening tonight, BroadwayWord brings you the actors who've taken on the many complex and vocally challenging roles of Victor Hugo's world, from the unscrupulous Thenardiers to innocent Cosette, or principled Javert against the compassionate and strong-willed Jean Valjean. From Fantine and Eponine, unfortunate in life and romance, to Enjolras and Marius, the fiery young leaders of the French Revolution.

The 25th Anniversary touring production of Les Miserables continues to travel the United States and Canada. BroadwayWorld has a first look at new production shots below. The tour will conclude in Las Vegas in August.
Not long after the Sacramento opening night performance of Les Miserables, producers officially confirmed plans to take the 25th anniversary production to Broadway next March. The announcement will come as no surprise to those who have witnessed the grandeur of the reimagined sets and slightly updated score. While many will miss the rotating stage of the original production, Wednesday night's standing ovation and the success of last year's film version of the musical, not to mention all the regional performances that are popping up everywhere, attest to its epic standing in the Broadway World.
Let's get to the point. 'Les Miserables' is back in Southwest Florida for the second time in fifteen months, playing through March 17 at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers. Will you like it? That depends. I didn't. You will. Because Tuesday's opening night crowd went absolutely nuts. Two curtain calls and almost no one ran screaming for the exits as if Inspector Javert was hot on their heels waiting to toss them into the Bastile. If the seats don't empty during bows, you know the folks in the 239 have got some major love for what's on stage.
Surrounding the new Les Miserables musical film frenzy, the 25th Anniversary musical production is the pinnacle of the world's longest running musical and for good reasons.
As expected (thankfully) 2012 provided Southern California audiences--specifically here in Orange County and nearby Los Angeles and San Diego--a season full of outstanding, remarkable theater offerings from touring companies, impressive regional productions, and even some tiny black box theaters. And, of course, as is the common practice during the ushering of a new year, the enjoyable past-time of putting together a year-end 'best of' list is something contributor Michael Lawrence Quintos truly looks forward to doing, especially when there's a plethora of great work to choose from--many of which he had the pleasure of reviewing exclusively for BroadwayWorld.
