The 4th Annual HOLIDAY CONCERT AND SING-A-LONG tonight, December 18 at 7 pm features the Broadway Irish tenor Ciaran Sheehan accompanied by pianist Brenda Landrum, and is made possible by the generous gifts of some Bay Street patrons. Suggested donation is $10 and a canned good for our local food pantry.

La Jolla Playhouse announces two additional productions for its 2013/2014 season. Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Memphis) will direct His Girl Friday, John Guare's (Six Degrees of Separation, The House of Blue Leaves) acclaimed adaptation of the Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur play The Front Page and the Howard Hawks film His Girl Friday, with screenplay by Charles Lederer, produced by Columbia Pictures. The production will kick off the season in June/July in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

The pre-production feature film Facing East released a Kickstarter Campaign today (Wednesday November 14, 2012). Facing East is directed by Tony nominated Broadway actor Will Swenson (Hair, Priscilla Queen of the Desert) and is written by noted queer cinema veteran Guinevere Turner (Go Fish, American Psycho, The Notorious Bettie Page) from an off-Broadway play by author Carol Lynn Pearson (author of the books Goodbye I Love You and No More Goodbyes), and produced by Duane Andersen, James Duke Mason and Emily Pearson.
