Blueprint Theater Project, Co-Founders/Artistic Directors Kevin Connell and Ellen Orenstein, present the World-Premiere of THE HUMAN VARIATIONS, an immersive, site-specific theatrical symphony that explores human interaction in our age of cyber intimacy. Preview performances of THE HUMAN VARIATIONS began February 7 prior to an official press opening of February 10 at Red Roots Gallery (25 Central Park West, at 62nd Street) in Manhattan. The nation's largest Italian American coalition of anti-bias activists, blasted Director Spike Lee for his hypocrisy in recent statements he made about the movie, 'Django Unchained' and announced it would induct Lee into its 'Hall of Shame' for his history of bigoted themes running through his films.

Bay Street Theatre has announced a special holiday event for the entire family. The 4th Annual HOLIDAY CONCERT AND SING-A-LONG tonight, December 18 at 7 pm features the Broadway Irish tenor Ciaran Sheehan accompanied by pianist Brenda Landrum, and is made possible by the generous gifts of some Bay Street patrons. Suggested donation is $10 and a canned good for our local food pantry.
Linda Eder to Return to Broadway?

Linda Eder made her Broadway debut in the musical Jekyll & Hyde where she received a Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle nominations and a Theatre World Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She is also featured on the concept albums of several other Broadway shows, such as The Scarlet Pimpernel and The Civil War.

La Jolla Playhouse announces two additional productions for its 2013/2014 season. Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Memphis) will direct His Girl Friday, John Guare's (Six Degrees of Separation, The House of Blue Leaves) acclaimed adaptation of the Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur play The Front Page and the Howard Hawks film His Girl Friday, with screenplay by Charles Lederer, produced by Columbia Pictures. The production will kick off the season in June/July in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

The pre-production feature film Facing East released a Kickstarter Campaign today (Wednesday November 14, 2012). Facing East is directed by Tony nominated Broadway actor Will Swenson (Hair, Priscilla Queen of the Desert) and is written by noted queer cinema veteran Guinevere Turner (Go Fish, American Psycho, The Notorious Bettie Page) from an off-Broadway play by author Carol Lynn Pearson (author of the books Goodbye I Love You and No More Goodbyes), and produced by Duane Andersen, James Duke Mason and Emily Pearson.
