The new short film ALBUM, written and directed by David Rimmer, author of the Pulitzer Prize finalist long-running play, has been accepted into the NYC Independent Film Festival. The short will screen on Sunday, October 21st at 1pm at the Producer's Club, 358 West 44th Street in Manhattan.

West of Memphis is a 2012 documentary film produced by Peter Jackson and Damien Echols, and directed by Amy J. Berg. Following from the original Paradise Lost film and its two sequels, West of Memphis follows the events of the West Memphis Three, a case in which three teenagers-Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley-were arrested for the murders of three 8-year old children; Christopher Byers, Steven Branch, and Michael Moore. The West Memphis Three were subsequently convicted of murder and remained in prison for more than 18 years, being released just prior to the third Paradise Lost film. Laura Carmichael joins Ken Stott, Anna Friel and Samuel West in Anton Chekhov's masterpiece, Uncle Vanya. Adapted by Christopher Hampton, Uncle Vanya uniquely blends sparkling wit and earthy humour to brilliant comic effect. Directed by Lindsay Posner with designs by Christopher Oram, this new production opens at the Vaudeville Theatre on 2 November 2012 with previews from 25 October.

Peter Jackson has just released a video blog on the making of the highly-anticipated film, THE HOBBIT. The video is one of a series he has produced which give fans a behind-the scenes look at the upcoming film.
