In advance of its sixth season premiere, today SHOWTIME announced that it has picked up a seventh season of its signature comedy series NURSE JACKIE.

ODYSSEY follows three families entangled in a military conspiracy by way of a female solider (Friel), a corporate attorney (Facinelli) and a political activist (Robinson). Adam Armus and Kay Foster (The Following) are set to write the script and produce with Horton, who will direct the pilot.

According to Deadline, TWILIGHT and NURSE JACKIE star Peter Facinelli has signed on to join PUSHING DAISIES' Anna Friel in NBC' upcoming drama pilot ODYSSEY, from writer/producer Peter Horton. Jake Robinson (The Carrie Diaries) also co-stars.
