The Broadway runs of WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 officially come to an end this weekend. Based on the novels by Booker Prize-winner Hilary Mantel, WOLF HALL ends its 15-week engagement today, July 5, 2015, at the Winter Garden Theatre. Red Bull Theater will present the penultimate Revelation Reading of the season, Richard Brinsley Sheridan's The School for Scandal, directed by Marc Vietor, with musical direction by Brian Trenis. The School for Scandal will feature Charles Busch, Everett Quinton, and Paxton Whitehead, along with Bill Army, Helen Cespedes, Alan Coates, Christian DeMarais, Peter Eyre, Kevin Isola, Richard Holmes, Amelia Pedlow, Gayle Rankin, Derek Smith, and more.  One night only - Monday, June 29th at Cherry Lane Theater (38 Commerce Street).

On Saturday 13 April, the Almeida Theatre hosted a party at Middle Temple Hall, the very place that saw the first performance of Twelfth Night, to give Michael an amazing send-off. Alistair McGowan to Replace Rupert Everett in West End PYGMALION

According to Whatsonstage.com, Rupert Everett will leave the West End production of PYGMALION on AUguust 15 because of previous television commitments. Stepping into the role of Henry Higgins will be Alistair McGowan, who takes over through September 3. The production opened at the Garrick Theatre on May 25.

Simon Ward Leaves West End PYGMALION Due to Illness

According to published reports, Simon Ward, who was set to play Alfred P. Dolittle in the West End revival of PYGMALION, had to pull out of the production because of a virus. While his understudy, Brendan Hooper, will replace Ward for now, an announcement is expected to be be made later today with the news of a new actor joining the show. The show is still on track to open on May 25.

This year, The Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award goes to OVID'S METAMORPHOSES, adapted and directed by Peter Bramley with original music by Lucy Egger. The production is from the acclaimed London-based company Pants On Fire. The Carol Tambor Theatrical Foundation will present the winning production at the Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning The Flea Theater in January 2011.
