EQUUS by Peter Shaffer will have its Theatre Rhinoceros premiere for a limited engagement - 17 performances only - 3 weeks! The show plays Nov. 25 - Dec. 10, 2016.

As part of its unique annual Hands-on-Opera education and youth performance program, Opera Parallele (OP) will present the world premiere of Xochitl and the Flowers, by OP composer-in-residence Christopher Pratorius. Based on the children's book of the same name by Jorge Argueta and with a libretto by Opera Parallele's Roma Olvera, three free performances will be presented November 17 and 19 at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in San Francisco. The fully staged and costumed production will be developed during an innovative eight-week residency with third grade students of the Alvarado Elementary School Spanish Immersion Program in San Francisco, assisted by the Opera Parallele creative team and professional singers. Performances will be given Today, November 17, at 6 pm and Saturday, November 19, at 11 am and 1 pm at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts, 2868 Mission Street in San Francisco. Nigel Farnall and Angelica Puscasu have won the inaugural Achates Philanthropy Prize, created to celebrate first-time cultural philanthropists across the UK, for their generous support for Theatre Royal Stratford East. The couple were nominated by the theatre for donating £3,000 towards the organisation over the past twelve months.

Serpent Club Theater is grateful to receive the support of over 130 sponsors to showcases Matthew Gasda's new play, Ardor, which runs for sixteen shows between Nov 5 to Dec 3rd. Ardor is Gasda's most ambitious play to date: a nine character ensemble, where each character is individuated, complicated, and alive. 'Ardor is ontologically and linguistically ambitious' Gasda explains, 'it attempts to put pressure on our own sense of ourselves not as beings in the world, but as beings who use language to define the world they live in.'

Due to critical and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons has announced a second extension of their hit world premiere production of A Life, a new play by Obie Award winner Adam Bock (A Small Fire and The Drunken City at Playwrights, The Receptionist, The Thugs, Swimming in the Shallows).

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, and rediscovering one of the West End's most popular dramatists of the 1930s and 1940s, Dr Angelus by James Bridie starring David Rintoul and Malcolm Rennie plays at the acclaimed Finborough Theatre on Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 27 November 2016 (Press Night: Monday, 28 November 2016 at 7.30pm).

Continuing their commitment to building the theatre going community of tomorrow, the Tricycle Theatre announces the launch of Mapping Brent, a brand new initiative that will see six new theatre companies created - five for young people, and a sixth for all ages. This unique project will see the Tricycle work on a weekly basis with 6 satellite venues across its home borough of Brent in a bid to engage communities and participants - many of whom have not previously engaged in arts - on their 'home turf'.
