The Baryshnikov Arts Center Presents Two BAC Salon Concerts this November

The Baryshnikov Arts Center will present two BAC Salon concerts in November, both in the intimate Howard Gilman Performance Space. On Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 7:30pm, BAC and Composers Now co-present Dialogues with Margaret Brouwer, Esperanza Spalding, and Du Yun and performances by Amy Schwartz Moretti, Blair McMillen, Michael Lipsey, Du Yun, and String Noise, moderated by Composers Now founder and composer Tania Leon. On Friday, November 4, 2016 at 7:30pm, BAC presents theremin virtuoso and composer Carolina Eyck with the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME), in the world premiere of Eyck's Fantasias for theremin and string quartet.

Joe's Pub at The Public to Welcome Jamie Leonhart & Joanna Settle, 11/1-3

As part of the artist commissioning program New York Voices, Joe's Pub at The Public presents Estuary: an artist/mother story, a new show conceived and written by Jamie Leonhart and directed by Joanna Settle. Estuary's original music is co-written and arranged by Grammy-winner Michael Leonhart. This presentation of Estuary features a live band that includes Saskia Lane, Pauline Kim, Sara Phillips Budde and Katie Scheele. Performances will run Monday through Wednesday, November 1-3 at 7:00PM at Joe's Pub at The Public (425 Lafayette, NYC). Billy Martin Set for DRAWING SOUND Performances at The Drawing Center This Week

For its 2015-16 season, The Drawing Center has developed two multi-evening events for its newly renovated galleries that demonstrate the institution's increased focus on the intersections between drawing, sound, and performance-based art. Billy Martin and String Noise (Conrad Harris and Pauline Kim) will curate the two Drawing Sound performances in July and September of 2015, respectively.

Dance Lineup Announced for Lincoln Center Out of Doors 2014, Beg. 7/20

From July 20 through August 10, Lincoln Center Out of Doors will offer more than 100 free performances across the Lincoln Center campus. The 44th season of the popular summer festival features premieres and debuts, family programs and a wide range of music and dance events.

Lincoln Center Announces OUT OF DOORS 2014 Summer Festival Lineup; Runs 7/20-8/10

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. Pam Tanowitz Dance makes its long awaited Joyce Theater debut from tonight, February 4 - 6. Presented by The Joyce Theater Foundation, this engagement will include a program of two new works by Tanowitz, a choreographer known for creating work that juxtaposes ballet with classic modern dance. The pieces, both world premieres, will feature live accompaniment.

Cygnus Ensemble Presents SOUNDING BECKETT at CSC, Now thru 9/23

SOUNDING BECKETT - a singular evening of theater and music that pairs three plays by Samuel Beckett from his 'ghost period' with new works by contemporary composers written expressly in response to those plays - will be presented tonight, September 14-23 at the Classic Stage Company (136 E. 13 St.) in Manhattan.
