Based on the film written and directed by John Waters, Hairspray is a musically rockin' story which takes place in 1962 Baltimore, Maryland, where the '50s are out and change is in the air. Loveable, plump teenager, Tracy Turnblad's dream is to dance on The Corny Collins Show, a local TV dance program.

Musically Human Theatre Productions (MHTP) today announced that 'Our Time II' -- a concert featuring songs by the next generation of theater composers--will be held this Monday, March 12, at 9:30 p.m. at the Duplex, located at 61 Christopher Street in Manhattan. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
