New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Acting Managing Director Fred Walker have announced that the final event in NYTW's special series of twenty-fifth anniversary public programs will be 'Two-and-a-Half Decades of Serving the Artist (Part II),' a discussion exploring the 'workshop' component of the theatre's activities on Monday, March 12 at 7:30pm - 9:00pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery.

Rudnick To Speak At Lincoln Center Series 5/7

Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series, a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers, will continue its 2007-2008 season on Wednesday, May 7, at 6:00 pm with a pre-performance talk with the award-winning playwright, Paul Rudnick, whose play The New Century, recently opened to critical acclaim at the Mitzi E. Lithgow's 'Stories By Heart' To Run Until 6/2

Award winning actor John Lithgow's new one man show John Lithgow: STORIES BY HEART begins on Sunday (April 20) at 7pm in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 W. 65 Street). This Lincoln Center Theater production, directed by Jack O'Brien, will be presented on Sunday and Monday nights during the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater run of Paul Rudnick's The New Century for 14 performances only through Monday, June 2.

'Wicked' Welcomes Back Kassebaum and Houdyshell

The Broadway musical WICKED will welcome two former cast members back to the blockbuster hit this spring. Beginning Wednesday, May 14, KENDRA KASSEBAUM will return to the role of Glinda the Good Witch and beginning Tuesday, June 17, JAYNE HOUDYSHELL will return to the role of Madame Morrible.

Currently in previews, THE NEW CENTURY, plays by Paul Rudnick, directed by Nicholas Martin, opens on Monday, April 14 at 6:45 PM at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, 150 West 65 Street. THE NEW CENTURY is a series of four short plays, which feature everyone from a concerned Long Island mother of at least three gay children (Linda Lavin), to an accomplished Midwestern craftswoman (Jayne Houdyshell), to one of Mr. Rudnick's favorites, Mr. Charles, a flamboyant resident of Palm Beach (Peter Barlett). Ultimately, all of these delicious and distraught people collide under surprising and comic circumstances, and we discover just where our new century might be heading. The cast of five also features Mike Doyle and Christy Pusz. The production has sets by Allen Moyer, costumes by William Ivey Long, lighting by Kenneth Posner and original music and sound design by Mark Bennett. THE NEW CENTURY is performed Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 3pm. Kron and Margolin Reuinite In 'Time' At West End Theatre

Two celebrated figures in the theatre, actress Lisa Kron and playwright Deb Margolin, will be reunited for the first time in twenty years when Six Figures Theatre Company and Purple Man Theater present Ms. Kron in the world premiere of Ms. Margolin's newest work, TIME IS THE MERCY OF ETERNITY -- four short plays about the effects of love, violence, and obsession on the body and soul -- with previews set to begin April 21 prior to its official press opening April 22 at West End Theatre (263 West 86th Street) in Manhattan.

Doyle and Pusz Join Cast of 'The New Century'

Mike Doyle and Christy Pusz round out the cast which includes Peter Bartlett, Jayne Houdyshell, and Linda Lavin in Lincoln Center Theater's production of Paul Rudnick's The New Century, a group of four one-act plays, to begin performances on March 20 at the Mitzi Newhouse Theater. The production, which will open officially on April 14, and is directed by Nicholas Martin.

Nicholas Martin is New Williamstown Fest Artistic Director

Nicholas Martin has been named Artistic Director of the Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF), effective November 1, 2007, it was announced by WTF Board President Matt Harris. After a successful and productive three year tenure as the Artistic Director of the WTF, Roger Rees will step down to move on to other opportunities.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced initial casting for its upcoming production of The New Century, plays by Paul Rudnick, to be directed by Nicholas Martin. Performances begin Thursday, March 20, 2008 in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Opening night is Monday, April 14, 2008. The cast of five will include Peter Bartlett, Jayne Houdyshell and Linda Lavin.
