Goldberg, Busch, Lypsinka & Batt Bring Kirkwood's LEGENDS! to Life in One Night Only Benefit Reading 3/23

Friends In Deed will present a legendary trio as Charles Busch, Whoopi Goldberg and Lypsinka star in the first-ever New York presentation of the infamous Broadway-play-that-wasn't, LEGENDS!. Written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner James Kirkwood (A Chorus Line), the play will be presented in a special One Night Only staged reading benefit on Monday evening, March 23 at 8PM at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

Paul Rudnick's 'Regrets Only'

Playwright Paul Rudnick has written some of the funniest plays seen both on and off Broadway, including The New Century, Valhalla, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, I Hate Hamlet and Jeffrey, for which he won an Obie and an Outer Critics Circle Award. His articles and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, Esquire, Vogue, Vanity Fair and The New York Times. His is rumored to be quite close to Premiere Magazine's film critic, Libby Gelman-Waxner. His screenplays include Addams Family Values, the screen adaptation of Jeffrey, and In & Out. The New York Times calls Rudnick 'one of the funniest quip-meisters on the planet.'

Paul Rudnick's 'The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told'

Paul Rudnick is the playwright who wrote Jeffrey, The New Century and I Hate Hamlet. He also wrote the screenplays for In and Out, Adam's Family Values, and Sister Act. He is the winner of The Outer Critics Circle Award for his play Poor Little Lambs and The Obie Award and the John Gasner Playwrighting Award for Jeffrey. He has written two Novels: Social Disease and I'll Take It. Ben Brantley of The New York Times says 'Paul Rudnick may be the funniest writer for the stage and he confirms that with Fabulous.'

SATURN RETURNS Opens at Lincoln Center Theater 11/10
