Downtown Music Productions and Howl Gallery Present PINS AND NEEDLES

Mimi Stern-Wolfe's Downtown Music Productions will appear in a revival of Harold Rome's witty satire Pins and Needles, music direction by Stern-Wolfe, stage direction by Larry Marshall, choreography by Mercedes Ellington,Tuesday October 25, 7 PM, at the Howl Gallery, 6 East 1st Street.  (All proceeds will go to the Actor's Fund and HOWL Help.)  With its critically acclaimed score and lyrics, Pins and Needles,  written in 1937, is a unique call for social justice and equity.

Downtown Music Productions and St. Marks in the Bowery's acclaimed revival of Marc Blitzstein's infamous Depression-era musical THE CRADLE WILL ROCK is set to kick off HOWL! ARTS PROJECT 2010, with performances beginning Thursday, September 2 at Theatre 80 (80 St. Marks Place). Larry Marshall is set to direct, with musical direction by Mimi Stern-Wolfe.

Director and choreographer Lisa Brailoff's revival of this timely, controversial musical about greed, corruption and the plight of the worker -- presented initially this past February by Downtown Music Productions, East Village Concert Series and St. Mark's Church in the Bowery -- returns for four performances as part of HOWL!
