PlayMakers Rep to Stage 'WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT...'

PlayMakers Repertory Company continues its Mainstage Season Feb. 24-March 13 with 'We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as South West Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884-1915' by award-winning playwright Jackie Sibblies Drury. Special events associated with the show begin Feb. 8.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Chasen Schneider Completes William Inge's A COMPLEX EVENING Cast

Chasen Schneider, son of John Schneider of The Dukes of Hazzard fame, will once again be in the 13 person ReGroup ensemble as it proudly announces its first production of 2016 -William Inge's A Complex Evening, featuring a night of Inge's rare One-Acts in their New York debut.

GK ArtsCenter to Present Gelsey Kirkland Ballet's STEALING TIME

Interrobang Theatre Project is pleased to conclude its 2015-16 Season, exploring "Unnatural Disasters," with the Midwest premiere of the psychological drama THE NORTH POOL by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph, directed by Co-Artistic Director James Yost*, playing May 27 - June 26, 2016 at The Athenaeum Theatre (Studio 2), 2936 N. Southport Ave. in Chicago. PlayMakers Repertory Company Announces Lineup for the 2016/2017 Season

PlayMakers Repertory Company proudly announces its 2016/17 Season.  Dynamic plays from three important women playwrights, plus a landmark drama by Arthur Miller, a romantic Shakespearean romp and a beloved musical masterpiece will highlight the new Mainstage Season from PlayMakers Repertory Company. The new season is the first selected for the theater by Vivienne Benesch, PlayMakers' new  Producing Artistic Director.

2015 TONY AWARDS Broadcast Up for Writers Guild Award; Ceremony Tonight!

Thee June 2015 broadcast of the 69th Annual Tony Awards and writer Dave Boone were honored with a Writers Guild Award nomination this year in the Comedy/Variety - Music, Awards, Tributes - Specials category. Winners will be feted at the 2016 Writers Guild Awards today, February 13, 2016, at simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York City.

MAC Award-Winner Meg Flather Launches Run of Critically Acclaimed Revival of 1993 Show PORTRAITS at Don't Tell Mama, 2/1

On December 13, Meg Flather revived her 1993 solo show Portraits as part of Stephen Hanks' Metropolitan Room series NEW YORK CABARET'S GREATEST HITS. Backed by Paul Greenwood on piano and John Mettam on drums, and with Lennie Watts on board as Director to tweak the former show, Meg mesmerized the Metropolitan Room audience with what has been hailed as a critically acclaimed performance, perhaps one of her best ever. Now Flather is bringing Portraits to Don't Tell Mama for three shows on Mondays--February 1, March 7 and April 4, all at 7 pm.

PlayMakers to Continue Season with THREE SISTERS, 1/20-2/7

PlayMakers Repertory Company continues its Mainstage Season Jan. 20-Feb. 7 with a fresh take on a classic drama, "Three Sisters" by Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. Special events associated with the show begin Jan. 11.

REGROUP READS Spotlight Pulitzer Prize's 100th Anniversary in 2016

The 'ReGroup Reads' series is gearing up for its second year. The free reading series, based on the best of American Theatre playwriting has already presented works by Paul Green, Tennessee Williams, Lillian Hellman, Maxwell Anderson, George S. Kaufman and more in its first year.
