Seattle Repertory Theatre presents Vietgone, the highly anticipated new play, produced in association with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, from up-and-coming playwright Qui Nguyen (Vampire Cowboys). Vietgone loosely chronicles Nguyen's parent's journey from Vietnam to American in 1975, with a quirky approach Nguyen describes as 'a sex comedy about my parents.' With direction by May Adrales, who has been with the show since its inception, Vietgone will run December 2, 2016-January 1, 2017 (opening night is December 7, 2016) in the Leo K. Theatre. Tickets are on sale now through the Seattle Rep Box Office at 206.443.2222and online at seattlerep.org.

On December 13, 2015 Meg Flather revived her 1993 solo show PORTRAITS as part of Stephen Hanks' Metropolitan Room series NEW YORK CABARET'S GREATEST HITS (Associate Producer, Fr. Backed by Paul Greenwood on piano and John Mettam on drums, and with Lennie Watts on board as Director to tweak the former show, Meg mesmerized the Metropolitan Room audience with what has become a critically acclaimed performance, perhaps one of her best ever. Flather then performed her new PORTRAITS three times early this year to packed houses at Don't Tell Mama. Now she's doing it one more time at the venue on Sunday, December 11 at 7 pm.
