Wrapping up Cortland Repertory Theatre's season from tonight, August 30, through September 9 is the new musical LIFE COULD BE A DREAM, written and created by Roger Bean, with musical arrangements by Roger Bean and Jon Newton and featuring the greatest 'doo-wop' hits of the '60's. Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 46th annual summer season of professional live theatre with the regional premiere of the fun and funny doo-wop musical, "Life Could Be a Dream". Written and created by Roger Bean with musical arrangements by Roger Bean and Jon Newton, the show features some of the greatest pop hits of the 1950's and '60's. Performances will run for three weeks, from August 30 - September 16 with evening show times at 7:30.  Matinees are available on September 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 10th and 13th at 2:00 PM.  Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Cortland Repertory Theatre's 'CRT KIDS' program will present four performances of an original version of the classic tale 'Alice in Wonderland'. Written and directed by local playwright Kim L. Hubbard, the show stars CRT's six performing interns of the 2014 summer season. Funny, entertaining and timely, it is appropriate for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade, and carries an important message about communication in these modern times.

Based on Victor Hugo's novel, the script of the musical is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, with music by Schonberg and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer.
